had a previous mini mac and was used to using it. This one is much harder to use in my opinion. Had to call the geek squad twice before I could use it.

This is our third mini Mac. Other than the fact that they seem to have planned obsolescence it is a very capable machine at a good price.

Plays borderlands 3 very well, given the right method. read for more info: Bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday. She prefers apple products, needed more storage space than her macbook air, and something more powerful. We would play borderlands 2, her playing on her macbook air, myself on my dell G7. Wanted her to be able to play borderlands 3 but it was hard to tell if the mac mini m1 could do so after searching online. But i give it a shot. The mac mini is very nice, simple, easy to set up and link with apple id. We found it simplest to buy borderlands 3 through EPIC GAMES. Steam has an issue of some sort or is not supported on mac. Upon running the game, however, it would fail on startup, over and over again. After trying a few different things, what i found was successful in booting the game and no more crashes was to sign into her EPIC games account on my PC, launch the game(again, her account) and get to a save point. After this, logged out on my PC, returned to her mac mini, signed into her epic games account and re-ran it. This time, it successfully made it into the game, has not crashed since. We have been playing it quite often for 2-3 weeks. This scenario may not work out for some, it just happened to work for me and found it useful for others that may be interested in the mac mini for the same reasons. Overall, mac mini is great, she loves it. Truly is a GAME CHANGER when it comes to mac.

the product is not worth it since you need both a apple keyboard and mouse for the initial setup.

These machines are very slow. I would recommend another model.

Love my iMac mini. Integrated seamlessly with my keyboard, mouse etc. does need more ports as I have to disconnected my wired printer when I hood up my web cam. But, it is lighting fast and clear. Great value!

Purchased this as Open-Box Excellent which states "Open-Box Excellent Looks brand new Includes all original parts/accessories Typically contains packaging" Once the package arrived, it did not come with the power cord. I went to best buy to let them know and have them provide me one. They told me since it is open box they do no always include all the parts, which is insane lol. Then they made me buy a generic power cord as they did not have any apple ones and did not comp the cord. Pretty annoying. Best Buy: 1-Star Mac Mini M1: 5-Stars

Best computer I’ve ever purchased. It’s lasted me years

Absolutely blown away by the speed and overall performance of this monster. Definitely a powerhouse of a machine. It handles all i throw at it and then some!

This is generally a good computer with a few quirks most notably there is an issue with the soft ware that causes the second monitor to go black frequently and is truly frustrating. I read that the Apple adapter can cure the problem but it's something they really should address. I hate this thing right now. I've also experienced an issue where it failed to boot after an update and required a lot of messing around to get it to work at all. That has only happened the one time. Other than that it is pretty fast, and stable.

Great machine. However, if you run a lot of apps at once, do not get the base model. Get the 512GB SSD with 16GB RAM. I have the base 256GB SSD and 8 GB RAM and I'm getting frequent messages that I've ran out of disk space. I'm what you'd probably call a "prosumer". I run a lot of apps at once: Excel, Chrome with multiple tabs, VLC media player, Apple Music, Photos, Word, etc. When you run lots of apps at once the 8 GB memory quickly runs out and the computer is forced to use the SSD as backup. Also, lots of temporary files will be created. I now find myself frequently having to reboot the system to get rid of these temp files and free up disk space. The computer itself is great and runs every app fine. Just upgrade to the next higher model.

This one is a gift, however, I bought that gift because the same Mac mini I have is a super computer. Excellant

I thought setting up this computer would be a breeze, but I had a slew of problems within the first 24 hours. First, the computer freezes during initial setup, leaving me no choice but to force restart the computer. After that, it booted into recovery mode forcing me to reinstall macOS. But nope - I got an error doing that too. Apparently there is a known bug with ALL M1 Macs that BRICKS the computer if you try to reinstall macOS. The only solution is to sideload the software with another Mac (which I'm lucky I had). After 3 unsuccessful attempts and several hours, I finally got it working again. On top of that, I've had a slew of other bugs with the software as well, including my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard randomly disconnecting, forcing me to restart the computer several times a day. Not too impressive for a company that boasts "it just works." I was tech-savvy enough to figure out the workaround, but the normal person would've ended up with a BRICKED computer rendering it USELESS.

Was needing to upgrade and my son in law recommended this. Has been great so far and I love how it syncs easily with my iPad and iPhone.
