Overall I think that this is a remarkable piece of new technology, but it suffers from extremely poor audio and bluetooth disconnects.

It has very little memory so multitasking isn’t the greatest thanks to the OS taking up around 5gb right off the bat. That aside, it works wonderful! Save a little more for the 16gb memory version and it’s awesome! It would get a perfect score if Apple didn’t integrate the memory so that these could be upgraded separately. Overall, great system for the money but I wouldn’t expect to do anything too intense with this version. Also, do not set anything on the box itself as my microphone would cause display glitches.

Packs great power. Have been using for Adobe creative design apps non stop. Almost as good as my older i9 mbp.

returned item, Not good for what I needed. Bought because of all the YouTube hype to see if it was all that? Well it would seem that it is in fact a fast machine for some things, however Bluetooth issues ( could not use Apple keyboard to login without plugging in cord) and insane swap file usage and seemed way slow compared to my 2013 Imac for Lightroom classic. I returned it and bought a new Imac.

I could not afford a full blown MAC at the moment. It was an open box. I needed a setup for photo editing and it has been a good investment at the moment. I have bought a few open box items over the years at Best Buy never had a bad result.

I ordered this open box M1 Mini to save a some dollars over a new item. It did not turn out well. The unit kept crashing anytime it was used for more than 1 hour. I had to reboot each time and lost my current work. Finally it rebooted to a locked activation screen . It asked for my password and would no longer except it. Then I tried re-activating with my Apple ID. No luck - it would not accept my Apple ID. Then I noticed the unit was locked to someone else's Apple ID. I called Apple support and was told there was nothing they could do to help. Only the person who's Apple ID is on the machine can activate it. I have no idea who that is. Perhaps the original owner of this open box return. I expect that Best Buy did not properly clean the machine before reselling to me. In any case, it is useless to me locked to someone else's Apple ID. I am having a great deal of difficulty getting Best Buy to refund my purchase. They sold me a defective unit that I can not even activate now. I will never buy an open box return computer item again. The replacement new M1 Mini is working great!

So far, so good. Wish this device was 1TB rather than 512GB. But it’s basically fast and I love that.

What can I say? The professional Geeks that live and breath this equipment have already agreed.......This is better than sliced bread! It runs quiet, no fan noise, no heat, just lots of "FAST"! I was very happy with my 10 year old iMac until this was announced. Greased Lightning!

This unit is a REALLY Nice unit. For price to performance ratio, you can't ask for a better desktop. Don't let the 8gb fool you. Can everything I threw at it including Final Cut and Coding.
