This is my first Apple Computer. I've been looking forward to try the iOS ecosystem. And here is what I think: In few words: The price is really high for what you get. I have several computers and laptops and running everything from Linux to Windows, Chrome OS and now iOS. I'd say the MAC is very close to what Chrome OS is giving you but with very high price and more available options to do stuff. I've been using my Pixel book as my primary for 4 years now. With Linux support, I managed to do all the tasks I need to be done. I still use Linux (Mint) laptop and Windows (now Win 11) laptop for other reasons but really getting everything done on Chromebook. As for this Mac Mini, the hardware is perfectly fine. The M1 Chip is indeed amazing! I love the ARM part of it and how it handles programs and apps. The enclosure is nice Aluminum premium shape with Apple logo on it. The connectivity is not the best but you can get around with what you got. It works really quiet and fast. Sound from the box is not the best but ok! Wifi Connectivity is perfect. Range is good and working fast. Out of the box, I had some real hard time making it work. This was an open box item. It had some issues related to previous install or previous owner. Once system is up and running, everything is fine. The MAC iOS is really easy to use but also has a lot of extra information (or access to extra info) that you may not need and you might think that they need to be arranged. Sometimes it feels like unfinished OS. I think people like the OS because of its simplicity and ease of usage for everyday tasks. I'd say most apple users will get the job done using a chromebook (high end one) just fine as if they are on MAC. I'd recommend buying it (or any apple products) if money is not a concern. If you are tight on budget, you can always find better alternative as I mentioned. Apple people, please don't get mad. This was just my honest opinion...

I love using Mac's and when it came time to outfit our Kids Sunday School room with a computer for all of the teachers to use, we chose this Mac Mini. It is small and operates well giving us the full Mac system in and compact size unit that is a great value for the money compared to a Macbook, especially since we don't need it to be mobile and we are connecting it to a TV.

Previously had MacBook Pro that was 2012 model. Significantly better speed and so easy to setup and transfer dad from that to Mac Mini. Also, previously purchased Apple Keyboard, Mouse, and had Monitor I used with MacBook Pro, so was no brained to upgrade to Mini. Primarily use iPad to take with me anyway. The office I have Mini is also used as a home gym, so nice to have the setup down there.

Fast as bananas rotting in the sun. I upgraded from a 27inch 2015 iMac, so I kept the OG Mac keyboard and mouse and had a spare 27inch monitor. Got this cheap with an open box that was in mint condition. 8GB of ram is plenty for most applications unless you're a heavy video or music editor.

Fantastic machine. I have had 0 issues with this mini so far. The M1 is just incredibly efficient and a monster of power. It's so nice to be able to have multiple programs open at the same time without compromise. I got the model with 8GB of ram and it's been beyond enough memory. The amount of ram you have almost seems obsolete because of how efficient the whole M1 is. Mind blown!

The computer is so quick and a steal at the current price. Since I already had a monitor, this was perfect for my setup. It literally makes zero noise and gives off zero heat when in use when I'm working. Simple design and just blends in on my desk since it is so compact. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Runs like a Mac! Fast, small, good selection of ports. I had some initial issues setting it up with an HDMI connected monitor but connected a DisplayPort monitor and it set up fine, and the HDMI monitor worked fine once it was set up. I was initially concerned about only 8GB of RAM, but that's expandable, and I have had no issues related to it.

This new processor M1 is not only fast, but in a month or so I have been using it, it run apps that I use to have in my cel, regular mac programs, and a bunch of windows based programs - without crashing even once. Video is superb quality is Apple. And it's quiet. there is no fan. It is worth each penny.

Set up was easy. Used my old Logitech keyboard and mouse without problem. Connected with my ASUS gaming router via wire for faster and reliable connection. Transferred my stuff from my Dell Windows computer using the transfer app. Totally satisfied with my purchase. Does not take up a lot of space.

I have been a Pc user / Gamer for a long time and still own a nice Ryzen 7 3700x with a 5700xt system, I have owned apple laptops and desktops before but was never really impressed. So after the M1 was released I decided to try it again to see what all the talk was about and WOW it blew away many other systems I own and really held its own. No it was not faster than my gaming system but it did play games quite well and smooth for many games. It was able to perform in browsing, video editing, and Light to mid Gaming very well and from what I can tell will only get better as more companies provide support for arm. The really amazing part about this in my tests is it ran amazingly fast and did so with such a low power cpu and it was quiet I installed parallels and ran the arm version of windows and was able to play games like world of warships, sim city 4 and a few others with no issues. In the arm list of games that run on mac directly I ran a few games from Steam and world of warcraft all ran ok with no issues. Will all games work prob not, but it can game.

A replacement for my 12 year old Mac Mini. The Apple Silicon is a huge improvement in every way. The only downside is the limit to two monitors, but that can be resolved with the right dock and some software. Highly recommended

This replaces my 2012 mac mini. No complaints here. I use this mainly for photo editing with Lightroom and Photoshop. Everything runs fast and smooth with only 8G of RAM. Hopefully this one will last at least 8 years like my previous mini.
