Endlessly better than low-end HP laptops
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this in late 2022 via the Upgrade+ program. Definitely worth the investment as I needed something reliable. This MacBook still works like the first day I got it. Great display quality and sound, battery life is still excellent, it's fast, and I can count on one hand how many times I've encountered a glitch like a frozen screen. I used to run through cheap HP laptops every couple years just doing basic work online, and they would progressively get more slow and glitchy until almost unusable (despite constantly requiring manual updates). Battery life would also get lower and lower. The difference is night and day.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great purchase so far! It does take a little bit of time to adjust from primarily using windows computers. I enjoy how lightweight this MacBook is! It runs super fast, it’s very customizable, and it does all that I personally need it to do. I wouldn’t get this MacBook if you expect to run large games, but it’s great for general usage such as school work or playing stardew valley! It has a super long battery life too!

Beyond my expectations
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought the MacBook Air M1, base model. I am a programmer and I dedicate myself to making both mobile applications for Android and iOS, web applications and some game development with Unity. The use I give it is not exactly domestic. I have been able to have a node server running at the same time as Unity consuming information from the server, and it has no problems. I have also used Android and iOS emulators (which consume a lot) at the same time. The funny thing is that I bought it thinking of using it for a period of 6 months when the new MacBook Pro M2 Pro/Max comes out, and I think it will give up for the whole of 2023 without any problems. From what I'm having I don't think it's worth going to an M2 because the difference in power in the personal I don't think justifies the price. If you really need more power than the M1 can offer you with 16Gb of ram (I use 8 and it's impeccable), I highly recommend going for an M1 Pro. Greetings and I hope this can serve as a reference for other programmers who have doubts about the capabilities of this machine to work.

Upgrade worth it
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a 2017 Air. Screen is visibly sharper, the processing speed is faster. I use a second screen, often with streaming news feeds or YouTube videos open, while working on items open on the laptop's screen. Sound is good too. Incredibly lightweight for travel, and I never worry the battery will quit before I do.

Best computer i've purchased.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.for the price, this laptop is insanely powerful. as an entry level apple computer it still excels at video editing and oddly enough some games. apple silicon chips really made mac's far better, and it shows. this laptop is like magic. the screen is sharp and clear. the trackpad is the best in the industry as usual for apple. and the battery life is incredible. and there really is nothing like opening a new apple device.

Does the Job & Looks Cute
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s Simple and does the job it’s supposed to do. I was a mostly a PC person, so getting used to the commands gets tricky, but I bought a shortcut sticker to help with that. I don’t perform a lot of tasks on it, other than wfh via a vpn. I have to use MS Teams messenger to communicate with team members, and screen sharing is clear. Using screenshare on my MacMini M1 isn’t clear. So odd. But there are no delays or lags and have no experienced any glitches. Sound is good. Watched a few streams and it’s crystal clear. I use it for hours so I have to charge it every so often after 6 hours or so. It’s light weight and easy to carry in my shoulder purse. I love that this will last me for quite sometime. I bought a case cover and a keyboard cover.

Such a dream!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second M1 MacBook Air since my toddlers broke my first one. With that said, having such a light and GORGEOUS LAPTOP to own is a dream. I use mines to lesson plan, develop educational resources, read articles, and occasional Hulu/YouTube when I get the chance. You can have multiple apps running and it will still be fast, battery life is amazing, and you’ll enjoy working with this simple laptop.

The best gateway entrance to the Mac
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always wanted a MacBook, ever since I was a little kid. But, there was always something that stopped me from getting one. They always mentioned that the Air wasn't very good, from 2011 all the way up to 2019, reviews always mentioned the multiple flaws MacBook Air had; from the thermal throttling, to the super small SSD (128 at base price), over $1000, then the Butterfly Keyboard etc. The list went on and on, and I really thought that it wasn't worth the money. Until, WWDC 2020, Apple announced they would start making their own chips straight from home, I was so excited for this new generation, it reminded me of the time when they went from PowerPC to Intel. The excitement was there, and I loved the new unibody that started in 2016, with the removal of unnecessary ports for the average Joe. Everything was the same, but the new M1 chip. That is when I realized that this M1 MacBook Air was the one for me. I didn't hesitate and started saving until I had enough to buy it. And, I absolutely made the best decision in purchasing it. It is amazing, it's super slim. portable, super fast processing speed and power. The screen is beautiful, the bezels are unnoticeable. The keyboard is outstanding, To be completely honest, this laptop makes you want to be more productive, just because of its speed and its ease of use. If you're thinking about purchasing a Mac, this by far is one of the better choices (and the cheapest nonetheless) The charger is also outstanding! 30w is all you need for this little thing Recommendation: I would just like to say that you should consider upgrading the SSD size, at least to 512GB, 256GB is fine, but you won't feel the need to download and have only the essentials, 512GB is such a sweet spot and won't have to worry about deleting things in the future. RAM upgrade I wouldn't recommend, unless you are a serious power hungry user.

Macbook Gal
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've purchased this model of the MacBook; the day after Christmas. When I bought it, I fell in love with it. I bought the Gold Color; which I thought was cute. Although the MacBook came with the 256GB which I thought was enough. I bought this MacBook for online school, it is so flawless. I love the quietness, no viruses and the compatibility. It is very fast. This is my first MacBook and I will keep it forever.
