The M1 chip is DEAD silent. The keyboard is one of the best I've felt on a Mac. The screen is stunning. Everything about the unit screams quality. The laptop is very fast too, boots up quickly and doesn't really struggle on any basic tasks. The downsides: only 2 USB C ports. Would have been nice to have one USB A port and even a MagSafe power adapter.

Buy This instead of a Windows Notebook

No Windows laptop under $1000 comes remotely close to this device, in terms of power, battery life, screen quality, keyboard, touchpad, etc.

This was a gift for my mom and she absolutely loves it. It’s very easy to use and she got the hang of it quickly. It’s so much easier for her to transfer her photos and videos from her iPhone to this MacBook. The gold color is stunning too. We are so happy with this! I got it on sale during the July sale so it saved me a few hundred bucks!

Practical size for travel

Easy to handle, has enough storage so I don’t have to have photos in the ‘Cloud’. Clear visually. Have not noticed superior sound compared to the old Mac Pro, but I guess my ears are not as good to notice it? Quick but certainly not instant. Would upgrade to the 16” if I were to buy another. Bought an external hard drive for storage... more economical.

Great Lightweight Laptop

I had to google how to do a few things since I was used to a pc. It's super light weight and fast. I bought this because I am back in school and I was a little leery of spending so much when you can buy cheaper laptops for $300-$400, but I decided it would be better to spend more now and have a computer that lasts.

Perfect Personal Laptop

Very compact and perfect for my personal use. This was a surprise gift to me and it has helped me so much with taking online courses and side small business. I really love this laptop as i can take it anywhere. I have an external USB-C hub that allows me to connect other things to it. It is perfect i have no complaints.

Better than last model.

Battery sure last and like everyone YouTube saying it’s fast with the updates apps. There is some issues with connection but the latest update fix some. More updates is coming. This model I actually can edit videos in 4K fast. And in 1080p much faster. I’m happy with this base model. As for older apps. They do work and seem to run faster which is funny but I’m impress. The iPhone and iPad apps sure does work with small hiccups but again it actually runs faster also. Not all iPad and iPhone apps will run until the developers allow it too. Still waiting for Arlo and some to be allowed. But as of now. I’m happy with the purchase.
