Another great Apple Product!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using Apple computers for some time. After my MacBook Pro from 2013 finally got painfully slow, I decided to upgrade. I never fully used the capabilities of the Pro and saved some money with the Air. This thing is wicked fast, looks beautiful and just works. Batter is amazing.

Great laptop if you can get a deal on it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If it was full price for a 2020 model, with 8gb of ram, and a 256 SSD, this laptop wouldn't have been in consideration in my search. Best Buy had a great deal on it a month ago. I am already in the "Apple Eco-System" so toggling things between my iPad, phone, and MacBook is seamless and fast, just convenience. The 8gb of ram sounds like a joke in 2023 but if you're just doing some basic tasks, ie; a few safari tabs, notes open, test taking, etc, its not going to slow down, its enough since the OS is great at being efficient with that kind of stuff. The soldered on SSD was also concerning but again if you're not a power user downloading a lot of large files I'm sure it'll last a long time. The battery life is great, I have no issue getting a few days out of it. Build quality is also the greatest I have felt personally and while the keyboard is different that anything I've used in the past (mechanical, brown switches) after a month of use I started to like it a lot. Some other small things I've noticed, its VERY thin, not too heavy in a backpack, speakers are loud and sound great, the screen gets fairly bright and is nice to look at, trackpad hasn't been an issue when using different gestures, touch ID hasnt failed me yet, webcam quality and mic are average. If you can get a deal on it and if you're a casual user like myself, I would recommend it all day. I'm in flight school just using it for basic tasks and it does everything that I need it too very well. The only gripe I've had is the 2 USB-C ports, I guess its something you sacrifice with the form factor. Personally I would've given up a few millimeters of its profile and thinness to get some more ports and ease of use. Keep in mind one is used for charging so you only have 1 open port if that time comes.

Macbook Air vs. Older Macbook Air
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's basically the same as my older MacBook Air with some pros and cons. The Pros: The touch pad unlock, the speed, the ease of transferring everything from my older MacBook and the headphone jack. The Cons: The cursor moves, but will not click, so you have to do a hard restart. I believe I found a way to correct this as well as a few other annoying things that were easily fixed in preferences. Also, the ever changing charging cord. NOTE: My old MacBook Air was dropped from the sofa to the floor hundreds of times (honestly) without ever having an issue. I once dropped it out of my hands onto a wet asphalt driveway, and never had any issues. Luckily, it landed it's fatal blow just before Thanksgiving, and I got a great deal on new MacBook on Cyber Monday. I think the issue with my older one was simply the battery, but it was time for new one, anyway. I highly recommend it.

Excellent Product for Writing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it This is my first Mac - have been MS all my life, so I wondered about the use and set-up of this. It's set-up was a breeze, and though there's a bit of a learning curve for adjusting to the ins-and-outs, it really hasn't been complicated. I love the backlit keyboard, the long battery life, the light weight, I ca use it outside without the glare and the keyboard is comfortable. !

Happy purchase
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Big upgrade I made from the air 2011 to this one. Love the screen size and has great battery life. Even though it’s bigger it still has the lightweight feel. Only ick is the fingerprint smudges on touchpad and keyboards. Other than that really enjoy the laptop and looking forward to upgrading.

Great computer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I needed a new Mac computer. My last computer was a MacBook Pro. It was 5 years old and was getting slow and tasks would take a lot longer. I looked into new Mac book computers and heard about new computer with new M1 chip. I heard they were fast, but also heard that since it didn’t have a fan, it could be an issue. Since I’ve had the computer, which is about a month, I’ve experienced no issues. It’s fast and can perform multiple tasks. I would definitely recommend.

Enjoying my MacBook Air!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love how lightweight the new MacBook Air laptop is and of course the color. Sleek and since I am an Apple user; I am enjoying the updated features! I purchased the mouse; but honestly, I don't need it because I am able to navigate smoother and faster without it! Let's not forget the graphics! If you are a Mac user, it's worth the price! Excellent product!

Replaces an 11 year old MacBook Pro
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this thing. I bought a 2010 MacBook Pro during the peak of MacBook fandom. I had that thing for years, but have been using Windows products since 2015. I recently did a factory reset, upgraded all software, replaced and increased the ram, and put in a new battery. It ran beautifully for $150 put into it and I really enjoyed using it again. Then I heard Apple developed their M1 processor and I saw technology innovation that I haven't seen since 2010. I passed down my MacBook Pro to my mother and purchased the newest Air. The Pro is working perfect for my mom, the Air is exceeding my expectations. The point? Apple consistently makes a quality product that far exceeds the quality standards of other manufacturers. The full aluminum frame, the track pad and it's technology, the keyboard (and getting rid of the butterfly keyboard!), and screen are are top quality. And now finally, FINALLY, Apple has but a top quality processor on the inside of that. My issues with Apple have only been their internal components (fans, "logic boards", processors, ect) and it now seems like they are finally tackling those issues as well. 0 regrets purchasing my second MacBook after 11 years!

Love!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop was in mint condition when opening it, and the speed is so fast. I had a 2015 Macbook pro that was just getting too slow. The difference in everything about this is so much better, from the screen to the gameplay. Definitely recommend. It is also soooo much easier to carry around.

Mac Air
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the exact Mac I was looking for. It was a gift and I knew she would love it, but getting the last one in stock. It was God. Seriously though it performs great and is perfect for what my wife needed it for. Has great memory for saving essays and projects, not to include the expandable memory, and a fast processor so multitasking is much easier. Plus it syncs with iPhone so she doesn’t have to stop work to respond to a text or call. 100% amazing
