This could turn you into an Apple fan
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to go budget and went with a basic Macbook Air. To my shock it is an extremely powerful but light & pleasant device. I use a $2K Macbook Pro for work and this thing rivals the speed but is smaller and quieter. I build my own PC's and I am not a huge Apple fan because of the 'Apple Tax' increase in price but this thing is a fantastic performer for a budget price. The M1 chip is fantastic.

Great 13" laptop - better than any PC
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best mac I have ever owned (and have owned G5 Cheesegrater, mac mini Intel machines, macbook, macbook air (intel)). This thing is really amazing for the price - especially when on sale at $800. I bought open box for $865 early in 2021 and no issues. Just traded into Apple last week for $515! Got great use out of it for two years and trade in value was excellent. Waiting to get the 15" Macbook Air that is supposed to be released June 2023. THAT will be the perfect machine (assuming they don't do something stupid with design/features). This thing runs Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22 faster than a native install on a "windows" PC. Just BLOWS them out of the water and not by a little - the M1 ARM processor is very fast - at many things - so even if don't like MacOS - just buy Paralles virtualzation software and a Windows license. Done and Done. For what you pay/get you can't do better for general use machine. Battery life ridiculous - lasts for whole day of use no problem. One benefit of buying this older machine is Apple designed these with 2 SSDs (effecivetly a RAID configuration) which is twice as fast as the M2 machines (unless you get the upgraded storage). So, buying the base model still nets you performance gains you won't get on an M2 based machine.

Cheaper than the Apple Edu store!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel like I got this 2020 Macbook Air at a super reasonable price. I weighed up my options between the M1 and M2 chip models, but didn’t feel like I needed to spend so much just to have the newer and latest model. While I’m sure the M2 models are great (and a step up), the reviews for the 2020 Macbook Air still really sell them as awesome laptops - so I decided to buy it and what a great discounted price Best Buy offers…it’s cheaper than getting it from the Apple Education store!

Best Air yet!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little guy... Wow.. Battery life is out-of-this world. Great screen, better keyboard than a couple of generations ago. Stupid fast. Don't let the 8GB of ram scare you. The M1 processor uses ram differently than the older Core processors. A lot of your main-stream software is already at least compatible with the M1, with more and more being optimized all the time! Everything I use day-to-day is already optimized and WOW the performance from this entry-level LAPTOP kills my old desktop!!

Light & Able!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apart from being incredibly slim and beautiful, this laptop is also incredibly lightweight, specially compared to the dinosaur I just came from being the MacBook Pro from like 2010. I got the basic seeing as I didn't need to do anything crazy on it, and it over performs on anything I've needed so far. Battery life is incredible as well when not plugged in, and charges other devices quickly. Totally recommend

THE Standard for Laptops
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned the MacBook Air M1 (first gen) for almost a year and I can say without a doubt this is THE best laptop I have ever used. Honestly, I'm hesitant to even call it a laptop as it feels more like a work of art or a magical artifact. Let's take a closer look: Design? Breathtaking. Battery? Outstanding. Display? Gorgeous. Performance? Out of this world. Do yourself the favor and buy yourself this work of art. You won't regret it.

Gorgeous color!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the color! It definitely does not weigh as much as my MacBook Pro and it is easy to use and easy to transfer my information from the Pro to the Air. Battery life is definitely better, but if you need to use your device often throughout the day, you should definitely carry your charger with you.

Good laptop just doesn't have usb
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this not doing research so this is technically my fault but I thought this MacBook would have usb ports but no it comes with USBc ports which was frustrating other then that it's pretty good it does overheat but that rarely when I'm playing games to max settings very useful tho fast and reliable only thing I hate is it does t have usb only USBc wich means to connect usb connections you will need to buy a separate device to connect this usb other hand it has no sd card slot which was a bummer because once again I had to buy a device that had a SD card reader other then that the device works really well fast but no USB ports.

Lightweight and Powerful
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure I can say more about the MacBook quality and performance that has not already been said. I will add that with the M1 chip there is not much a reason to look at the MacBook Pro beyond any specific requirements you might have. The Pro will serve those who deal with a lot video editing or resource draining applications. But for those who want a good , fast, lightweight ,and powerful laptop, this is it.

It has all the features of connecting to apple products, text from the lap top, easy hotspot connection, fast running. It's great! I travel a lot and really enjoy having a reliable computer with me.

Love my MacBook Air Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop - Apple M1 chip to upgrade from my old PC laptop. I couldn't be more pleased. This MacBook Air is lightning fast and feather light. It has no fans so it doesn't get hot. I love the backlit keyboard. The screen is slightly smaller than my old 15.6" laptop, but it wasn't really that noticeable. I highly recommend this laptop.

A usable laptop and cool as cucumber
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in market for a laptop after about six years (yeah yeah.. I know you might think I am cheap but I think I 1) buy relatively quality products (conditioned on my affordability) and 2) simply take care of the things hence they last longer. I am generally on my laptop at least 16 hours every day and I mean to the last minute... I normally have around 5 pdf books open, 3-5 presentations, at least 20-30 large excel sheets, 10ish tabs in my browser including youtube and a programming language interface. You might have guessed that I am a very light user of laptop.. I have tried 4 laptops before settling in with this MacBook Air. All of these had at least one of the below issues: 1) fan noise 2) bad keyboard ergonomics 3) heating issues 4) relatively slow despite of having latest core i7 and 16 GB RAMs 5) very expensive..not value for the money This MacBook ticks all the boxes and does not suffer from any of the above issues..ok,ok, I get it, I agree it is a bit on the expensive side but it is still a good value for the money...In short, BUY it you will not REGRET it!!

Updated Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Such a nice lightweight laptop. Just right for personal use and I got the lovely rosegold color. Price was terrific too as I got on sale. Nice savings. I did have to buy a dock to plug printer and wireless mouse in because this laptop has only 1 USB port.
