From the BestBuy side, I was perfectly happy. The product was delivered on time in perfect condition. I did return it as I realized 256GB was too small for my purposes, and they refunded my purchase. Now on to the Mac itself, it's lightweight, boots up fast. Great quality, and I enjoy the touch sensor that can be used for passwords and to unlock the screen. The bi-directional speaker system was cool; I could actually feel the sound coming from one side or the other. Camera works great. The main con of this Macbook is that there are only three ports: two USB-C and one headphones. And the charger is USB-C. So either you have to limit yourself to just one port for external devices, or buy a multiport that allows charging alongside data transfer. Which are not too expensive to buy, and worked fine for me.

Bought this to replace my MacBook Air - Intel

I bought this as a replacement for my MBA Intel - basically the same model with the Intel instead of the M1 chip. The reason why is that the Intel version has a fan and it started to become irritating when it came on all the time, especially since I'm used to the quietness of my other Apple devices (various iPads). The difference is day and night. Not only is quieter since it doesn't have a fan, but it's noticeably faster, even with just surfing the web and watching streaming videos. The only issue is that it's harder to load Windows compared to the Intel version. All of my accessories like the cover, hub and magnetic connector all fit from my previous MBA. Overall I'm very happy with it and was still able to sell my previous MBA for a decent price.

Best value for an Apple laptop in a long time

The best value for an Apple laptop in a very long time. The M1 SoC is great and doesn’t slow down throughout normal usage, for a day to day computer this is great, there’s enough space for loading a number of apps, videos and photos, depending on what you do. The screen is clear and vibrant as are the speakers, whose only downside is their max volume, which is still loud enough for a quiet to low volume environment, but won’t cut it in loud spaces. Keyboard and trackpad are excellent to use, Apple going back to their older keyboard style is a welcome change! The battery life is excellent, can watch videos all day long and only need to plug it in at night. $1k is a lot of money, but I’m the premium laptop market this stands head and shoulders above the competition and is easily the Apple laptop most people should buy, barring power users or people who need vast amounts of storage. Even then, get some external storage if you can and go with this.

I absolutely love this machine! The battery life is outstanding, we're talking DAYS with my average use in school. It is fast to load like a cell phone and has touch ID. The machine runs amazing, I'm using it to run World of Warcraft gaming software without issue. Ultra thin and light, you can't go wrong.

Apple doesn't disappoint. What a beautifully designed machine, inside and out. The new Air is the first Apple computer with the Apple chip, the M-1 chip, which is the fastest processor of any laptop. This computer is featherweight, perfectly sized for transport, fitting in any bag or even in a large purse.

I love my MacBook Air 13.3". I got the color gold. It is not yellow gold, but it's more like a pinkish gold - girl type of computer. It's super light - even my 2yr old girl can carry it. Battery lasts more than 10 hours. I don't have to worry about bringing my charger with me when going to school.

I love my new and well needed MacBook Air. I’m still learning the commands but I love the size and weight compared to my previous MacBook Pro. The battery life, display are both great. The computer’s speed is great, however, internet speed varies according to the provider.

Wow. I couldn't be happier. I got this on sale for $799, and I should have bought another one for my wife. It runs so fast and the battery lasts a week or more! My wife uses a 2019 Macbook Pro 13in and this Air walks all over it in performance and battery life.

So far so good. I only use it as a backup for my PC but every day I try to use it so I can reacquaint myself with Apple Computers. I had the MacBook Air i5 8GB 512GB for a few weeks but the camera was really horrible. I bought the M1 and the camera is much better (still not as good as my Acer laptop though!). I work in Word and it functions fine (I use the Microsoft Cloud, and it interact fine so far). I love that SILENCE of no fans, and it's never run hot for me (so far).

I am a windows user for all life and only really owned a ipod in the apple ecosystem. After buying my ipad air 5 i took the plunge and I've been really impress with the quality and presentation of their products. Unified 8gb ram is nothing like the ram on windows and works well with everyday task. The m1 chip is very powerful and mix with the amazing battery life I can admit a windows laptop cant compete. Screen quality will amaze people that aren't use to 120hz or higher refresh rate with 4k resolution. Dont expect to game on this game except the app store/mobile experience. Just get a game console or build a windows gaming pc at that point.

Great computer, screen gives a very sharp picture, very fast. Got this to replace an old 2011 MacBook Air- had a frustrating time getting the important stuff to transfer over, but that's because I'm not good with computers. There is a Migration Assistant built-in, but it didn't help with carrying over all the music I had in iTunes. All that went over was the stuff I bought from the iTunes Store years ago, none of the cds I imported. Eventually was successful, just had to use my external hard drive to do it. Anyway, so far, so good. There is some problem importing cds- Geek Squad helped with that. They downloaded an app called VLC Media Player, which has to be open when you import a cd, otherwise it's likely to say "file not found" or "missing data" or something to that effect.

Really pleased with my new MacBook Air. It's quick and streaming is awesome. It's great for work and casual use. It's so light. Really fits everything I needed, especially now that the keyboard is fixed from the old version. Space gray is just what I wanted and it didn't take long to receive it.

I am TOTALLY blown away by this laptop! I haven't been a mac user since high school and quite literally figured since I have an iPhone and an Apple Watch, might as well move on to an Apple computer. And this thing doesn't disappoint! Many speak of the hype surrounding Apple's new M1 chip. It's no joke. This thing is fast. Possibly less important but still blows my mind every time are the speakers! Neatly tucked along the sides of the keyboard, these speakers produce the most "surround sound"-like audio I've ever heard from any computer. Use caution when watching true crime documentaries. This computer is thin, light, clean, yet durable. And with all things Apple, it has that sleek Apple look that everyone loves. In a perfect world I would ask for an original USB A port but we all know USB C is the future, as well as cloud storage, etc. All the things that make our lives easier. But overall I'm absolutely pleased with my purchase. A definite would buy for most anyone!

I'd been using a 15 year old MacBook Pro that I should have replaced 2-3 years ago. I'm glad I held out though as Apples' M1 chip & lightweight MacBook Air is a pleasure to use. I bought one for my wife also who is also thrilled to have this gem of a computer.

My dad got me this laptop as an upgrade from an older Macbook pro. Great laptop! Definitely weighs way less, super fast, the screen definition is amazing, sounds is great. The color is unique too! It also doesn't have a fan (motor) so it is a lot quieter. Would recommended if you're planning to upgrade!

Loving my new MacBook Air so far. The fingerprint login and password reminder is fantastic and so easy to use and liking the screen image quality and sound quality as well. Seamless set up and data transfer via Migration Assistant from my old MacBook Air 2017, and definitely like the keyboard on the newer model better. Wish it had usb ports like older models and frustrated that a converter has to be bought for everything. I've also received comments from people on video calls that my audio and video quality is improved over my last computer. Lightweight, fast, performs.
