Be Wary of the MacBook Air M1

Never a problem, that my was not self-inflicted like dropping it or cracking the display. The MacBook Air M1 has not been as good. After 1.5 years, the display had black horizontal lines across it, then it shutdown and wouldn't restart. 6 months past the 1 year warranty, cost $~450 to replace the guts of the machine. 2 months later the black horizontal lines came back, took it back to Apple still within the 90 day repair warranty and the display was replaced

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace one my wife purchased from Amazon it was slightly cheaper but was not working correctly after a couple days of very annoying troubleshooting over the phone I had had it and returned that one to Amazon. Within an hour of sending it back I did an in store pickup at best buy and everything was and is great

MacBook Air - a good choice

Switching from MacBook Pro Sierra to MacBook Air Big Sur has gone well with all data surviving the change. Having a Big Sur operational system is a step up and there have been no surprises with the laptop. The salesman at Best Buy knew his product well and was able to answer all my questions before the order was made.

Was not a fan until now.

Had fabulous service which I’ve never had before. Your team was exceptional! Had a really bad experience 6 months prior. Told my self never shop there. But your team Barrett and I can’t think of the other salesman went above and beyond. I will come back and shop there and tell all my friends.

There should have been something to indicate an add-on device would be needed. It was nice to upgrade after 11 years..
