I’ve been using the M1 MacBook Pro for a little over a month now and I have to say that it is as great as everyone is saying. Battery life is amazing, I charge it about once a week lol. It’s not my main device so your usage my vary. It never gets hot, I’ve yet to hear the fans kick on or work hard to keep it cool. I’ve mainly used it for web browsing, gaming with Google stadia and Apple Arcade, light video editing with iMovie and photo editing with Luminar and Dark Room. All the native Mac apps run really good and are fast. Most iOS apps I have tried work good also. Not every iPad app is available but I imagine as time goes on, more apps will be available. I can’t wait to see more apps become available and optimized for the M1 chip. The magic keyboard is very comfortable to type with, and the touch bar is growing on me. It was weird at first but when an app can make good use of the Touch Bar, I have to admit that it is a very cool feature to have. The screen is beautiful and vibrant. My only complaints about the MacBook Pro is that it should come with at least 512 GB of storage and more port options. It’s kind of annoying having to carry all sorts of adapters and dongles to get work done. I miss having an sd card reader and regular USB ports. On the flip side.. I have been able to run apps off a Samsung T7 portable external SSD drive that I picked up for way cheaper than Apple wanted to charge me for storage. This MacBook still won’t compete with a high end windows laptop if you want to play video games but for everything else, this laptop should be at the top of your list. Mac OS gets better and better and I imagine it will only improve as Apple pushes updates. I expect to be able to get many years of use from this MacBook and for that alone, I think it’s worth the entry price. Pros ; amazing Apple build quality Excellent Battery Life Runs fast and stays cool Tons of apps at your disposal Cons: 256gb is not enough storage Only two USB C ports, you’ll need to buy adapters and dongles

Light weight and easy to use. It has an impressive power boost thanks to the new M1 chip. It also has more than 16 hours of battery endurance. It has a bright and vibrant screen with good quality sound from the speakers. However, it still does not offer touch screen capabilities and if you need additional ports, you will need to get an adapter to add to your MacBook. Pro: Superb performance crazy long battery life bright and colorful display Runs iOS apps comfortable magic keyboard Con: Just two Thunderbolt ports Still no touch screen Design remains the same

I've been using my MacBook Pro M1 since 2021, and two years on, it still impresses me every day. The speed and efficiency of the M1 chip have not diminished over time; it's as fast and responsive as the day I got it. Opening apps, switching between tasks, and handling heavy workloads feels effortless, showcasing the enduring power of this machine. What truly stands out is the battery life. Even after two years, I get through a full day of work on a single charge, which is a testament to the quality and longevity of this laptop. The Retina display continues to be a delight, with its vibrant colors and sharp details making everything from work documents to movies look fantastic. The build quality is excellent. It has stood up to daily use with no issues – it still feels solid and well-built. The keyboard and trackpad have been reliable and comfortable, which is crucial for my long work sessions. Software-wise, I've had no compatibility issues. Updates have been smooth, and everything works seamlessly with the M1 architecture. It's also worth mentioning how silent it operates; even under load, it stays cool and quiet. Overall, my MacBook Pro M1 from 2021 is a purchase I'm still proud of. It's a powerhouse that has stood the test of time, offering consistent performance, reliability, and quality. For anyone considering a MacBook, this experience is a strong endorsement of its longevity and value.

The sleek design and seamless macOS integration enhance productivity, especially within the Apple ecosystem. This machine is absolutely incredible in terms of speed, looks, weight/size, display, and battery life - and texture (it feels so good against the skin on my wrists as I type) and basically anything else you can think of. I also love the space gray color, the new keyboard, the Touch Bar, and the larger trackpad. There are so many options to customize the system to work just the way I like.

This MacBook Pro is one of my favorite recent purchases. I was able to edit a photography session super quick using this laptop, which in past times, I avoided using laptops for editing my work. The quality of this laptop is high quality. I would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a good editing laptop for professional use and beyond. One thing I would tell everyone first is, to make a MacBook laptop screen last without screen-erosion, please do not touch the screens with your hands, and wipe the screen and the keys on the keyboard (with a computer cleaning spray and microfiber cloth), here and there to protect the oils from destroying the protective layer on the screen. -S

My 2011 15" MacBook Pro finally bit the dust, so naturally I wanted to upgrade to the latest and greatest. I was a little concerned by the lower memory specs and lack of upgradability on the M1, but after reading up on how the Apple silicon chip works, I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. This baby has all of the power I need and then some. I run a lot of apps at once (browser with multiple tabs, Photoshop, Teams and a text editor, to name a few,) and I've never felt like it was chugging. In fact, I've never even heard the fan kick on. The battery life is also incredible. I thought I might miss my larger display, but I really don't. I prefer the portability instead. My only complaint is the lack of ports, but I knew what I was getting myself into. I just purchased the dongles I needed and I'm good to go. I'm very pleased with my choice, and I highly recommend it.

All I can say is WOW! I jumped from the Windows 10 world swearing I would never try another MacBook Pro ever again. The m1 is a game changer. Even with only 8 gigs, it is pretty future proof. FAST! Oh, and I am averaging over 14 hours of battery life at 60% brightness! Since I am one of those who really loved the Windows Phone with its Tiles, yeah like me and two others. I seem to be the few who loves the Touch Bar. As I get used to it, I miss a touch screen less and less. Since I have several hundred dollars of iOS apps that I have been using on my 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch, most of which now work on my MBP, I have been enjoying the MBP even more than I thought I would. I am still a heavy Windows 10 user, including the Microsoft DUO Phone. I don't see me jumping 100% into the Apple Pool. I like this over the MB Air m1, oddly because I really love the Touch Bar. Weird? I know, right? If you are looking to buy a MBP 13 inch and plan on keeping it for years, this is worth the few hundred bucks more than the Black Friday Deals for the Intel Chips. If you still need to run Windows or some of the older Apple only programs? Hold off until the new updates push through in first quarter of 2021. You will have to spend closer to $3000 for an intel MBP to beat this rig.

The computer works fabulously as to be expected. I would say that this computer is only worth the fee you pay if you are a "creator" otherwise the price isn't justified if your reason for wanting one is for school work get a windows they are affordable , high quality and you won't have to pay for everything on the computer to make it functional. Like I said this computer is meant for people that create some form of content and for that use only is this computer valid. But for school choose a computer that you don't have to purchase apps like Microsoft word on. Also this computer does require that you purchase memory and takes every opportunity to suggest that you upgrade your space for unnecessary upgrade that it requires once a month.

I had the 2019 MacBook Pro, moved to the 2020 MacBook Air... and couldn't resist a new "MUST HAVE" from Apple. The M1. I just want to say it again... MMMMMMM1111111111111111. Just feels good typing it! Seriously, the speed and power this computer has still amazes me. It has never been so good to be an Apple lover. This is the first time I have ever had a laptop that I can work all day without a power cord. I haven't reached the 20 hour life as I do need to sleep myself, however for work related items, Safari, Pages, Documents and emails... it is the real deal for all day usage. I have done some gaming (Minecraft) on the computer and it loads extremely fast and does not lag in performance. I still get mind blown thinking of how thin the Pro is, the power... I think this is my favorite apple purchase to date. Nice job Steve. I mean, Tim.

I've used a number of Apple computers over the years and this is by far the most impressive, especially considering the price. It blows the previous generation of MacBooks out of the water. The packaging is the standard Apple packaging that we’ve come to expect. The quality box opens to reveal the laptop. Below the device is the 2 meter USB-C charge cable and the 61W USB-C power adaptor. That, and some minimal papers and stickers, is all that’s included. Once you open the laptop, the device boots up almost instantly. The setup process is smooth, and the first thing you’re greeted with is an accessibility screen, a thoughtful and necessary conclusion. Once set up, the device is ready for use. With it, you can complete just about any task with ease. If all you require is the ability to do some light web browsing, media consumption, and document editing, then you might be better off going with the cheaper MacBook Air. Both computers run off the same M1 chip, the difference being that this device has active cooling. This device is more suited for those who might want to do tasks that require a bit more horsepower: things like photo and video editing, and maybe even some light gaming. In my opinion, the TouchBar is quite useful, dynamically changing based on the application you’re focused on. The TouchID sensor makes logging in to just about anything a breeze. The trackpad is smooth and large. And the keyboard is a major improvement over the butterfly keyboard we saw on a few generations of Apple devices a few cycles ago. This keyboard provides a fantastic typing experience. The screen is bright and vibrant, and the speakers sound great. I would have preferred a bit nicer of a webcam (this one is only 720P), especially considering how prominent video conferences have become, but this one gets the job done. The microphone is solid too. In terms of ports, the 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports and the headphone jack are enough for me, but for many people, it simply won’t be. Content creators who frequently work with SD cards, HDMI cables, and basically any other peripherals will be required to carry a dongle at all times. This is somewhat disappointing. The best part about this laptop though, might be the battery life. One morning, I took the device off its charger after a full charge, walked over to my desk, and used the device with a few safari tabs open and about 3 other applications, and the battery only went down to 97%. Some people are reporting 20 hours of battery life on a single charge. That’s fantastic. The fantastic battery life and extreme processing power make this machine a good value for just about anyone. The one caveat is that, for a much lower price, the MacBook Air offers just about the same power, and similar battery life, for a much lower price. Still, I believe this laptop is a solid choice. I chose this model because I like the TouchBar, and wanted to squeeze out as much power as I could. To me, that was worth the extra money, and I’ve been left quite satisfied.

The M1 chip is fast and the battery life is great. Still getting used to the operating system, but as usual with Mac, most of what I want to do is intuitive and I haven't run into many problems so far. I'm sure it does some things I don't know about yet. I've got a book to help me since I skipped several operating systems, but I've been spending so much time enjoying the computer that I haven't gotten to it yet. The best thing about MacBooks is that they're always better than Microsoft computers. I'm enjoying the backlit keys and the Touch Bar. I've always liked the shortcut keys to Macs and the Touch Bar makes things even easier. I've got a lot of apps up all the time, and the MacBook is nothing but quiet and stable. The M1 chip is better than the Intels, in my opinion.
