Flawless machine. Have yet to hear the fan come on and it doesn't heat up with tons of applications running. Apple has done a lot with this Mac. Very glad for the magsafe and the hdmi port added back. Battery is good, not exceptional. Do not expect the listed battery life to be true unless you have one page or application open honestly. The battery was the only thing not meeting expectations but considering the speed of this Mac with a lot of applications running, it's no wonder the battery cannot last as long as tested.

I purchased this Macbook Pro for all of my general tasks such as browsing, email, and productivity apps. However, I also run multi-simulations in biochemistry and coding. There are complex algorithms with large mathematical variability, and this laptop has not let me down. I have also been impressed with the resolution, looking at molecular models in detail. I wear readers and this screen provides enough clarity and brightness to help alleviate the need for them much of the time. Very pleased with my purchase!
