Most Happy With This

Only issue is that the USB-C port will not go into sleep mode after a time-out, so display is always on unless I specifically put the device into sleep mode.

Fantastic System

The laptop got hot every day. And I got ~3 hours of battery life even after a new factory battery. This MacBook Pro has yet to spin up the fan. In fact, I haven’t seen it above 20% utilization.

Quick Start was easy once I got a little familiar with the Mac and received guidance from my very patient and knowledgeable son-in-law! Setup was easy. Data transfer was daunting because I had never transferred data from one laptop to another, let alone from a Dell to a Mac. We set it up to run overnight and kept our fingers crossed when it looked like it was stuck at another 5 hours. Come morning, the transfer was complete and I was well on my way to learning more about my new Mac!

Best MacBook in Recent Years

I was a long-time Windows user and had switched to a MacBook Pro some years ago. When the Mac OS was going through a rough patch, I switched back to Windows. With the new M1 Chip and the much better OS, this is the best laptop I have used in the last 10 years hands down.
