Faster than my windows PC (i7, 40gb ram, 1tb ssd) probably, next time I’ll get 32gb ram instead of 16gb. Either way, great for coding and development.

Great investment

I was actually waiting for M2 release and was looking for 16 GB model. After seeing initial review videos (Slow write speed for 256GB model), I decided to go for M2 16 GB RAM / 256 GB SSD. But then in 100$ extra, I was getting better screen, speakers ( they are a class apart from any previous MacBooks), so went with MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro chip, best decision made. I plan to keep this machine for at least next 5 years.
