This is a worthy replacement for my Late 2013 MacBook Pro, because it has lots of ports, a magnetic charger port, fingerprint & card readers, and the scissors keyboard. Apple finally listened and returned to building laptops with enhanced functions prioritized over weight & thinness. No sticky butterfly keyboard! It's fast and I use it every day for work.

At the price that Best Buy is selling this for, it is an INCREDIBLE value. The best value MacBook out there. The screen is beautiful, the computer is very fast, and the battery is great. I think I could easily use this for the next 5-7 years. I REALLY recommend this one. IF you have the means, you won't be disappointed with the purchase.

Fast, clear display. Has great features to protect against piracy. Easily lined to my phone, IPad and watch.

The M1 processor is quick . These laptops do not get hot like the older models .

This thing is a beast! I do a lot of art & photo editing and this thing makes my life soo efficient I don’t feel like it’s slowing me down. I do sometimes use this for zoom calls, teams meetings and it’s put reformed really well. The only improvement would be to make it a bit lighter. Granted I don’t carry this thing on my shoulders for more than an hour but I can still feel it’s weight picking it up from my desks.

As usual apple products have great battery life and great screen quality wife loves it

Definitely an upgrade from my 2018 MacBook Air! I love the screen quality and how long it stays charge.

Nothing beats the MacBook Pro in the ecosystem, but if you don’t need the horsepower, save a little bit of money and get the M MacBook Air. I use it for editing so I do need the extra horsepower but if you just wanna browse, I highly suggest getting a cheaper variant

The M1 Pro chip effortlessly handles anything I throw at it (software engineer) and I have yet to hear any fans kicking on while using this. Very clear display, great video quality (I still recommend an external webcam when docked if you spend a lot of time on zoom/teams calls), and it certainly meets the normal build quality expectations of a MBP.

Awesome laptop, light great battery life, nice screen, great sounds.

I had just bought a base $999 MBA just before this MBP went on a sale for $1749. Since this came with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD standard, it made sense for me to return MBA for MBP instead. The screen and especially the speakers are noticeably better vs MBA. However, the day to day performance isn’t that much faster (same single core performance - multi core performance is better but not by that much especially with the base binned version here). Also, 14” MBP is noticeably bulkier than MBA as well. The battery life is also somewhat shorter. The expanded port selection is good to have however. Keyboard and touchpad, while a bit bigger, feel about the same vs MBA. To be honest, at full MSRP, I think the base MBA makes more sense as that laptop does most day to day tasks well enough while being lighter and smaller. This MBP starts to make a lot of sense when it is on sale or if you wanted to buy an upgraded MBA with 16GB RAM/512GB ($1449).

It’s a perfect laptop. It’s powerful. It’s sized right. Good balance on value too. I bought the 16” M1 Max the first time around and returned it for this. I’m not THAT kind of power user. I wanted something newer than the M1 and upgrading to 16GB RAM gets you in the price ball park for this. The 14” screen, speakers, ports, and performance make it a great blend.
