I love my new MacBook Pro. It's the 3rd one I've had. it's super fast and I like the smaller size a lot!!

The M1 Pro chip effortlessly handles anything I throw at it (software engineer) and I have yet to hear any fans kicking on while using this. Very clear display, great video quality (I still recommend an external webcam when docked if you spend a lot of time on zoom/teams calls), and it certainly meets the normal build quality expectations of a MBP.

M1 Pro is still very powerful handling majority of your workloads. Ive been using it for small projects in Unreal Engine 5 and its been a breeze. Only personal issue is the screen size, during projects things get a bit cluttered but a external monitor can easily solve that problem.

I had just bought a base $999 MBA just before this MBP went on a sale for $1749. Since this came with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD standard, it made sense for me to return MBA for MBP instead. The screen and especially the speakers are noticeably better vs MBA. However, the day to day performance isn’t that much faster (same single core performance - multi core performance is better but not by that much especially with the base binned version here). Also, 14” MBP is noticeably bulkier than MBA as well. The battery life is also somewhat shorter. The expanded port selection is good to have however. Keyboard and touchpad, while a bit bigger, feel about the same vs MBA. To be honest, at full MSRP, I think the base MBA makes more sense as that laptop does most day to day tasks well enough while being lighter and smaller. This MBP starts to make a lot of sense when it is on sale or if you wanted to buy an upgraded MBA with 16GB RAM/512GB ($1449).

It’s a perfect laptop. It’s powerful. It’s sized right. Good balance on value too. I bought the 16” M1 Max the first time around and returned it for this. I’m not THAT kind of power user. I wanted something newer than the M1 and upgrading to 16GB RAM gets you in the price ball park for this. The 14” screen, speakers, ports, and performance make it a great blend.

The best computer I could’ve bought. I upgraded from a 2015 MBPro, and this is so much better. The silicon M1 took a little while to get used to coming from Intel and all but it was so worth it. Managed to find a great deal on this Mac with 16GB ram, definitely needed. Overall I love this machine and will probably keep this around for another 8-10 years

I bought the macbook m1 pro and also the surface pro 8. Price was about the same if you add the keyboard for the Surface. The Macbook Pro was definitely a lot better. The screen is gorgeous, like having an OLED tv on my lap. But what made really decide on my first Macbook was the battery life, speed, and power. Surface pro 8 didn't come close and was returned.

Best laptop I've ever owned. Excellent performance. I'm amazed at the battery life. I'm an IT Professional and I know computers. This laptop is the one that will not disappoint. I'm a big user of virtual machines. I use Parallels to run linux VMs and noticed that most ISOs that you download to create virtual machines are x64 intel based. This does not work on this laptop because of the M1 Pro chip. But I found that downloading ARM processor based ISOs work just as great, if not better. The performance and the battery life still amazes me. I put battery life to the test on a regular workday, (8 AM - 4 PM). I noticed around 3 PM, my battery was around 62% left. After running multiple VMs, working on web applications, texting, browsing, emailing, etc. This machine is a beast! I was thinking of getting the 1TB, but noticed that I don't need it. This laptop is exactly what I've always wanted. A laptop that can last all day (if not longer) with great performance.
