||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everybody was excited, it's all over the web news including macrumors that for the first time ever apple is making a 120hz display. I tried both the 14" and the 16" Macs, they are both 6hz. Apple is always a few years behind with the competition. I honestly don't see any reason why to get the M1 Pro or M1 Pro Max while the M1 other than a few extra ports while the M1 Mac pro will perform way better in most aspects. The battery life is greater, it will never heat no matter how many apps you have open while the M1 Pro and the Max will heat up considerably more.

MacBook Pro M1 Max

With photos and video, the 1TB SSD can be filled up pretty quickly. External hard drives can be slow, unless you get an external SSD - but at that price point, might as well have the convenience of built-in storage vs carrying around an external drive.

Powerhouse and Sleek Laptop

I am very happy with the keyboard in comparison to the keyboard with the touch bar on the previous models and I am not missing out by not having a touch bar. Overall, great purchase.

Strong machine for codework and graphics

But, it's a mac, and it has it's own issues. Apple is just not what it used to be before Jobs passed. Still, it's a good machine and has it's plusses.
