The 32GM Memory and M1 Max Chip make editing video a breeze. I got this MacBook Pro to primarily edit videos as it is awesome. Really appreciate the port to plug in memory cards from my Go Pro and moving videos from my iPhone is super easy too with AirDrop

Amazing powerful laptop, accurate colors, a little heavy but gets the job done. I edit 4k videos with premiere pro and the cpu and ram has no issues rendering playback. I also use it for editing hi resolution photos on lightroom and photoshop and it has no issues as well!

My MacBook Pro is my 2nd apple computer, it replaced my 1st apple iMac Desktop which I purchased in 2011 and was still working in 2023 but it could not support the latest safari and IO versions so it was time to upgrade. I was originally looking to get another desktop because of the larger screen, but my grandson who is in his first yr at University at Buffalo has a Mac- Book Pro 15" and he convinced me to get the MacBook Pro 16" and it was best decision I ever made. BestBuy had a sale on the 3 versions of the MacBook Pro 16" and the sale price for 2nd version and the Apple M1 Max chip- 32GB memory - 1TB SSD it was a no brainer, 2x the memory and a faster, more powerful processor, plus the benefits of a BestBuy credit card and a Total Tech membership it was BestBuy Bestvalue.

This is far more computer than I need but one thing I’ve learned with Apple laptops is that I use them far longer (5+) years than Windows laptops so I like to add some future proof options. The screen and sound are spectacular, and as often reviewed the speed of everything is great. I’m a huge fan of OLED screens so I was worried about micro LED, but not disappointed at all, the blacks and contrast are great and I don’t feel I compromised. The battery…. Such a pleasure to not worry about power adapter for so many hours, a game changer. Glad to have port options again and can’t wait to push this thing a bit.

The MacBook Pro with the M1 Chip and 32 GB Memory has been a purchase definitely worth every dime it cost me. It is by far faster than any laptop I have ever owned and the battery life is so long that I forget to plug it back in after a couple of days of using it. The brilliant screen and sounds are fantastic for watching movies. I go to my emails and check everything and just flip down the top and when I go back a day or so later, I flip up the cover and all my emails and what I was doing is still right there, and active as if I just walked away a minute. Great product and much better performance than I anticipated.

I’ve always been a Mac user and prefer them to Windows laptops because I find they’re generally faster/lighter. My old MacBook Pro started to get really slow on me, and I was excited to try one of the new ones with the new chips. I do a lot of graphic design, especially motion graphics and I needed a computer that could handle the intense software you have to run to do that. This computer has never given me any issues. I could have every Adobe program running and two dozen internet tabs open and it still won’t slow down. It’s the best laptop I’ve ever owned.

macbook pro - great laptop with more than enough speed and reliability when you need to work done or just browse the internet - with a high capacity graphics card and 1 TB drive long lasting battery, charges to full very quickly if you're looking for a new laptop definitely get a M1 (or M2) macbook pro - all the features a solid laptop needs and more worth every penny - including if you get Apple care - always a wise investment if you've never bought a mac - do some research and you'll see it's worth buying and will last a long time

Mixed Feelings About the MacBook Pro 16" with M1 M

I recently upgraded to the MacBook Pro 16" with the powerful M1 Max chip, 32GB of memory, and a spacious 1TB SSD in Space Gray. While this machine undoubtedly offers some remarkable features, my overall experience has been a bit of a mixed bag. Let's start with the positives. The M1 Max chip is a powerhouse, delivering impressive performance for everyday tasks, video editing, and multitasking. The 32GB of memory ensures smooth operations, even when running resource-intensive applications simultaneously. The 1TB SSD provides ample storage space, ensuring I can keep all my files and projects in one place. However, there are some notable drawbacks. One of the most significant issues is the screen brightness. Despite being a high-end device, the MacBook Pro 16" falls short in this department. The screen brightness is noticeably dimmer compared to other laptops in the same price range, which can be frustrating, especially in well-lit environments. Another concern is the reliability of the system. Unlike previous MacBook Pro models I've owned, this one has required multiple wipes and reinstalls to address performance issues. This unexpected need for troubleshooting has been both time-consuming and frustrating, raising doubts about the system's overall stability. Furthermore, the MacBook Pro's performance with Adobe Suite, a crucial tool for many professionals, has been less than stellar. While the M1 Max chip is undoubtedly powerful, it seems that Adobe applications are not optimized as well as they could be for the new architecture. This results in occasional lag and suboptimal performance, which can be a significant letdown for creative professionals who rely heavily on these tools. In conclusion, the MacBook Pro 16" with the M1 Max chip has its strengths, but it's not without its flaws. The screen brightness, reliability issues, and subpar performance with Adobe Suite are notable downsides that potential buyers should consider. If you prioritize power and are willing to work around these issues, the MacBook Pro might still be a suitable choice. However, if these drawbacks are deal-breakers for your workflow, you may want to explore alternative options before making a purchase.

It took me a while to figure how to get the fans to pop on… I opened up some home designing software that was rendering everything in real time and finally, the fans came on! Overall, this is way to much power, but I know it will last me for years. I love that I only have to charge it once a week.

It’s Apple. And at its best for a MBPro. Love it works quiet screen is awesome. Never again going back to PC. As long as Apple keeps their invocation going to improve on chipset and simple yet elegant design, I’m buying. Bit heavy but you get the battery you need to last

Overall, I love it - it's my second MacBook Pro purchase-- Specifically, I like: 1) The improvement of the keyboard-- keys are more distinguished from the board itself (less flat); 2) Like the upgraded display -- picture is very crisp 3) Magnet addition to the charger connector. Only misses are minor but, in my opinion include: 1) The charger can only be plugged in from left side (in the older model, you could plug in from both sides) 2) Removal of the touch bar at top of keyboard from prior version (touch capability is not included and keyboard commands are needed vs easier touch features of older model).

This is my first Macbook. I have been a Windows user for 25+ years and consider myself pretty tech-savvy. While there are some shortcuts I do miss from my Windows laptop, I'm in awe of the quality and speed of this MacBook Pro. It feels well-built (it's clear Apple pays attention to clicking sounds and materials). It is so quiet (I never hear a fan running), and feels like such a workhorse; it does everything I ask it to do. I also think the touchpad experience is second to none -- it's like they know what I'm trying to do when I want to scroll with my fingertips and I don't miss using an external mouse with this thing. I'm not a gamer, so I can't vouch for that kind of experience but I take photography and edit videos so I am using some heavy software products and it moves through them with the speed I expect from a laptop. Wish it had 2tb of hard drive as I expect to have this for a long time, but so far no issues with the HD size. Really really happy with this purchase.

This machine is just what I needed! It operates well and was a seamless setup. I really enjoy the ease of use. Nice not to have the Touch Bar are the top that previous models had. Image quality is top notch. I haven’t tried to dual screen with my iPad Pro but that’s next on my list. So glad I bit the bullet and upgraded.

This unit is an absolute beast. I am so happy to have gone away from the butterfly keyboard and with the addition of having some ports back like HDMI and SD card support I am a very happy camper. (Yes I really disliked how apple got rid of them). Coming from a 2017 MacBook Pro the battery life and performance is simply amazing. For the first time in a long time I finally feel Apple has made a tool for pros. Yes it is a little thicker but that is a tradeoff I feel it is definitely worth. For the everyday user the standard M1 MacBook Air is more than enough but if you do any content creation, coding, or additional things in your workflow this is the best MacBook in a long time. (No the notch does not bother me)

MacBook Pro 16" 32GB-1TB - worth doing research

Purchased the MacBook Pro 16" Laptop with M1, Max Chip, 32 GB Memory - 1TB SSD - did a LOT of research and decided to go with the 16" vs the 14" and I did pay more for 1TB even with cloud storage for pictures and videos. I wanted to make sure I had the space without affecting the performance as these will last for years. My last MacBook Pro was from 2016, still runs just had a screen and mouse cracks so was time to replace vs repair as I had too much on it to risk losing- I did not have the storage on it yet did in the cloud but I do believe that affected the performance eventually. As far as size, I don't take my laptop a lot of places so the 16" screen works best for me and the keyboard is amazing. It was well worth the extra money for me. I did go to a store and after realizing the weight of the 14" is just as heavy as the 16" it was a no brainer for me. The weight usually affects me more when it comes to transporting than size. Love the size of the keyboard, screen, and options for what I use my laptop for. If you may ever need a computer-like option I would save and spend the money to go MacBook Pro vs an Air. There are many areas you can not use a MacBook Air or Chromebook in place of a laptop or desktop so please do research. I initially was going to do a MacBook Air to save money until I read and found out the limitations. Huge price difference so I am glad I took my time, waited and researched.
