I'm replacing a 2014 Mac that is still functional, just slowed down a bit. Upgrading to the MacBook Pro is the best value for me. Not initially, but for how long the pro's upgraded hardware lasts, those last 2-3 years it pays for itself! Love how all my apple products just work, sync seamlessly with each other. As a director of a PMO, I wish all my PMs would make the switch, though we give them their choice. Never ever ever going back to a PC.

NOT BUILT TO LAST

Apple prides itself on computers that last - this one didn't. It was well taken care of. Because I didn't get Apple Care, it cost $820 to repair through Apple, 3 months after the factory warranty expired. Since getting it back, its battery doesn't last and sometimes it powers off spontaneously. A complete disappointment given what it cost.
