I love the quality of the HDR display. It can get extremely bright and compeltely black all in one frame. It can do this while sipping battery power. Color gamut and accuracy is better than anything I’ve ever owned. Plenty of power and IO. Extremely solid build quality. Pulling it out of my bag is a daily pleasure. Very fast charging with Magsafe 3. Love Touch ID and Apple Watch unlock, as well as Apple Wallet compatibility. All in all a huge upgrade from my 10 year old 15” MacBook Pro Retina Display, which was still working alright once i replaced the battery after 8 years. Now I handed it down to continue to get use. One thing it lacks, for the price and intended buying group, is an included microfiber cloth to keep the display clear of smudges.

Fasted MacBook out there. Battery lasts 2+ days for work. Beautifully accurate screen. HDMI 2.1 port that displays 4k120hz on my LG C2 OLED without issue. TB4 ports for docking at home. Just a portable powerhouse.

I was on the fence here

When these launched, I was debating on if I should stick with my M1 MBP or jump to the larger screen. I watched countless hours of reviews on both the 14” and the 16”, as well as comparisons between these and the 13”; the reviews were all pretty much the same and said the same things, but nothing in them convinced me to buy it.
A few days ago I got to see the 14” on display at Best Buy and the screen was beautiful, but it wasn’t much larger than the screen I already had, so I walked away and continued to research them.
A few days past and after seeing the 16 Gig RAM and 32 Gig RAM models were operating about the same, I decided to give the base model 16” a try. So, I placed the order and procrastinated picking it up for more than a day, but I finally went to grab it.
When I got the machine home, cracked open the box and pulled it out, I realized the it was physically an intimidating size for a laptop, but that wasn’t a huge issue, so I pushed forward.
Upon opening the laptop and hearing the chime, I peeled away the film on the screen and this is when it hit me. The screen was massive and beautiful! I own an LG C1 OLED and a 5th Gen iPad Pro 12.9”, and those are beautiful images, but this is the first to truly blow me away! From this point on I was hooked on the machine,t he size and weight concerns to a backseat compared to the privilege of using the screen.
As far as the performance goes, it is about what you would expect from it as everyone and their brother have already reviewed this thing. It works and it works well overall.
So, if you’re somebody that is on the fence and you don’t have the money, then don’t even go see this thing as it will be very hard to resist at that point. If you have the money and you’re on the fence, go see the screen and I’m sure you’re going to agree, it is very impressive.
If this is what the pro XDR is like, I completely understand why they charge so much, but that isn’t something I can afford, so I at least get a taste with this MacBook Pro.

I got this computer for my senior year of college because my old one couldn’t handle the workload. This thing is incredible! I was running compilers, Autocad, Final Cut Pro, LTSpice, browsers, iMessage, Notability, WhatsApp, Outlook and Excel all at once with very little slowdown. The best part is the battery life. I frequently outlasted many of my peers with Windows and Linux machines while using intensive programs. Obviously, don’t expect 20 hours if running it like I did, I was feeding around 10 hours, which is still impressive. I highly recommend it.

Like most Apple products, you are getting the best of quality here, from the unboxing experience to the user. The macbook is built exceptionally well, light weight, very sturdy, no imperfections.
Compared to other Macs, the performance is unmatched. Imagine the speed of iPhone or iPad, but with desktop applications.
The screen can be compared to OLED screens, perfect inky blacks, infinite contrast ratio with insane brightness. The screen also comes paired with Apple’s Pro motion Tech (120hz)
Speakers are out of this world and defy laws of sound. Crisp and clear while also covering great quality of mid and low end. And they are LOUD.
Keyboard goes back to apples older keyboard design, plenty of depth and very reliant. Trackpad is HUGE, surprisingly i dont bump it when i type.
I/O is great, magsafe returns with convenient charging, USBC for expandability, SDXC for photographers and HDMI for extension of display.
MacOS will be hit or miss for some, It really comes down to compatibility and preference.
Battery can easily outperform other competitors. When macbook is on standby, it survived all week without charge.
Using the Mac, it doesn’t get hot unless under extreme load, paired with being light weight and sturdy, it’s perfect.

I've been a PC guy all my life. That has been plenty sufficient for me. Maybe it is because I am not fully integrated into the Apple ecosystem that I don't see what the hype is all about but so far it has been an underwhelming experience for me. It's not any faster for what I use it for. Coming from PCs and Windows exclusively, the organization of things is completely confusing.
It is heavy. Like, really heavy. For some reason, because Apple is supposed to be the leader in this space, I expected this thing to be feather-lite with a blow me away experience. It is just basic in my opinion.
The screen is nice. You can tell they put a lot of engineering into that. Just woyld be nice for a $1500+ device that it be touchscreen. This is likely to be only Apple product I ever buy. Contemplating selling it and using those proceeds to buy something that makes sense to me, has a touch screen and is not so heavy.

Basically "as advertised". Pros: the best screen on any laptop, unbelievable sound, super fast, lots of ports, giant trackpad, good keyboard. Some small cons include: pricey (you get what you pay for) and a bit heavy.
Unless you can't deal with the weight, don't bother with the 14". Slightly less processing power (very slight), smaller screen and it doesn't include the crazy fast 140W charger.

Its been one year since I purchased this MacBook Pro and its a great Mac, its super fast and responsive, I love the Fingerprint log in, the screen is large and bright and easy on the eyes. My only criticism on this Mac is it's missing the USB Port, it only has USB-C Ports, also it takes a long time to charge the internal battery but it does last all day! Overall Its a great Laptop

Despite some storage and memory limitations, this laptop continues to impress with its enduring performance and resilience. It remains remarkably fast and well-built, boasting an exceptional screen and webcam that I've come to rely on. While I'd welcome a future model with expanded storage and memory capabilities, this one has proven its staying power.

Well, I love this MacBook Pro with the M1 chip — which makes the battery last just about a whole work shift and keeps it remarkably cool such that the fan never kicks on. Sleek, fast and fun, able to run several work-related programs and a browser. $400 off around Christmas made this a great deal.

New laptop after years of not having one for personal use. Nice screen, nice battery life, fast (but they usually are when brand new so we'll see). A little expensive for what it is, but it's Apple.

The 16” MacBook Pro series with M1 or M2 processors are powerful laptops with beautiful screens and great graphics. They also carry a bit more weight than the Intel MacBooks. The weight is necessary to have cooling systems that keep the MacBook Pro running at full speed. Personally, I agree that performance is the right choice.

It's perfect. My first MacBook Pro was a 15" back in 2012, and I loved it. Since then, though I've tried the Air, the 13" and using the iPad Pro, it just wasn't the same. The raw speed, keyboard, and screen all back to my first experience with a Macbook Pro. Is it expensive? Yes, but it's well worth it for me. The only thing I hate with a passion was buying it through BB, now realizing that I don't get any points for this purchase. It's about the stupidest thing I've seen BB do to their customers. I searched it up, and they started doing it in 2019, which surprised me since I had not made significant apple purchases in the last three years. Anyway, I love the laptop, never buying an apple product from Best Buy. I'm almost tempted to return it and go to the Apple Store.

This 16” is a great addition to the Mac line up. It beats the 2020 M1 in performance, screen size, and battery life. Multitasking on the device is super speedy and the weight of the device was heavy at first but now I’m used to it.
