This is the Madden people like me(that's been playing Madden since the mid 90's) has been wanting for a while. We wanted EA to show that gave a crap! Madden 19 is not for the weak! I'm sorry to say that, but it's TRUE. The past 6-7 Madden's have been geared towards this new generation that doesn't know or understand how to play Madden. Madden used to be about the experience player's & everyone that didnt know how to play, just got they're tail kicked all day, until they eventually learned how to play. The new age will say "this game is crap...I can't run the ball" yeah... you can't but experience player's can... See that's Madden... they brought the challenge back into the game! Once I spent some time with it... I was running over 100 yards with a 5.2 avg in 1 day! Then Franchise Mode got a little make over! It's not the greatest but it's good! Really good! Nobody cares about MUT! Its considered but most gamers, as the worst mode ever! Nobody cares about MUT packs, or cards. Franchise Mode is & ONLY will be the reason to buy Madden. Franchise Mode is legit this year, No I didnt but Madden 18, Why? They did nothing to Franchise Mode... this year? I've bought 2 Madden 19's all because the franchise mode was better...& hopefully next year's Madden 20, we get a "Coaching Carousel", a "Deep Moral System where everything you do in franchise effects your team" & "NFL Network GameDay be introduced into the game for Pre game, Halftime, & Post game Highlights with conversations". That should be the focus for Madden 20!!! Longshot- not a fan... just like MUT... these two modes, we can do without! Their a waste of the DEVS time! Now bringing us a very deep SuperStar Mode... that will make Madden 20 better then this year's Madden! Overall - Buy the game! If your an experience Madden player, buy the game, if your a Franchise guy, Buy the game! If your a MUT player... stop wasting everyone time, & learn how to build your team up, if not...don't buy the game.

I love the gameplay. This year you can actually pick up fumbles that was very frustrating last year. The graphics are the best more and more realistic each year. I couldn’t see myself playing another football game. Period

As always Madden football never disappoints and this year is no different. Better gameplay and real to life moves makes this year's Madden a must have!!

Improved graphics, faster paced gameplay. All non human Players as far as (AI) is concerned are topnotch this time around. And UI is simplistic as well.

The experience is like no other, it changes everything better then the previous maddens

Once again madden has come through with a very solid game. The rosters are updated and there are a few features new to me me. Choosing what style of play is cool Arcade- which is more scoring, better to play with the kids Simulation- For the franchise mode where your players levels are key Competitive- where your personal abilities can take any team on as the controller skills are the dominating factor Other than those I haven’t had time to dive to deep into it yet.

The gameplay has all the familiar touches of the Madden franchise. The commentary can, at times, be out of place. An example being the duo talking about your player making his mark in Super Bowl history when you are playing the second game in the regular season. And there are moments when the graphic below the game score banner will display a player injury, but offers no update as to anything specific. And I am not a fan of the Longshot story. Overall, Madden 19 is good, but certainly not the best entry into this timeless franchise.

Full Disclosure: I buy Madden every year. Have done so for as long as I can remember and every year there’s at least one or two tweaks that make the new game feel a lot different from its predecessor. This year is no different. The running game feels a lot more difficult this year. It requires a lot more attention to blocking schemes. Each running play feels unique, there’s a noticeable difference between your stretch runs, toss runs, dives, traps, powers, etc. whereas in years past you could essentially just dumb it down to “inside run or outside run.” Also, it’s become more difficult to pull off jukes/spins effectively. Especially if the ballcarrier doesn’t have particularly high ratings in those areas. Gone are the days of seemingly every RB/WR being able to pull off every move. This makes the game feel deeper, more challenging and rewarding to master. Defensively I find it more difficult to make ballhawking plays with my line backers than in years past. I can get guys in position but it feels like they have a tougher time leaping up to make the grab. One of the major keys to success on defense is winning in the trenches. If you’ve got good/smart/quick DL you can get a nice jump on the snap and disrupt plays in the backfield. If not, you’ll be at the mercy of the opposing QB. Overall I like the changes in this years game. Gameplay feels more realistic but it’s not as easy/fun to just pick up and start playing. I highly recommend going through and doing the skills tutorials. Especially if you like to play on All-Madden.

If you like football and madden this is worth the money. Great price. A lot of new features.

The Madden series keeps getting better and better. I have purchased it year after year and it just gets better. graphics, game play and they always add new features/game modes. I'm probably getting too old to play video games cause they seem to get harder and harder to play. im always getting a beat down from my younger cousins and nephews. smh.

Madden 19 is a huge improvement from last year! This years' version builds upon its strong game-play, fascinating presentation, and includes better graphics and important game-play refinements. Improved player motion gives the player more control and excellent fluidity. Throwing, catching, and player interactions on both sides of the ball are more realistic. You have more control to break off tackles and track down balls to intercept them. The way play-action breaks down as the blitz storms in perfectly captures the momentum of a real-life NFL game. Solo challenge tournaments improves community content and Madden Ultimate Team now lets you upgrade players to fit your team needs. This game is a great holiday gift for any football fan and I couldn't be more excited to play online with friends. I wrote this review as part of a contest but I stayed true to my opinions and really do love playing Madden!

I have been playing Madden since high school and I have never been disappointed by the series yet. This edition is no different. Another hit! The game play is very fluid and graphics are absolutely amazing! I just hope the jinx doesn't hurt one of my favorite players.

Bought this for my husband. Here is what he says "I like it better than the previous one. The graphics are pretty solid and I really like the fact that they have personalized player celebrations after every touchdown. The game play in general is improved." so there ya have it folks. He is literally playing it right now.

This game plays like the last 3 maddens. Which are huge improvements over the past games years before that. They tweak a small dynamic that changes the game. This year the realism with physics makes the game more realistic than ever however it can also hinder the fun. Think 2k at times. Overall solid game.

I first played John Madden football on the SNES when it was called John Madden Football and not Madden XX, and have played most entries since. I also played the 2k football games as well, but the recent Madden games are the best representation of the sport yet. People like to hate on the series, but every year it gets a little bit better. I didn't like that they took away the behind the defender view this year, but a recent patch has added this back into the game. Overall, you are never going to have a perfect football game as there will always be little glitches like weird animations, but these don't happen very often. The gameplay is solid and the graphics are great! I plan on also getting the PC version at some point as well.

I haven't purchased a madden game in a few years but decided to this year and it was a great decision. Madden 19 is by far the most advanced madden to date. The graphics continue to improve as well as the game play.

After playing Madden 19 this week I couldn't be happier. Regular updates keep rosters realistic and graphics upgrades during of season really make the game realistic. I look forward to playing the 2018 season !
