Graphics are great. Gameplay is smooth. I haven't played a Madden game in years, so I can't say exactly how different it is from previous titles. However, I loved the 'quick play' feature. Quick play lets you participate only in key moments in the game, saving time by not making you sit through cut-scenes and all that. Overall a pretty fun game.

Has Madden actually stepped their game up this year and provided an innovative edition to the franchise? Well no they have not. What I have seen through my week of playing is that this year game feels more balanced competitively. Some years the passing, speed running or the defense is over powered to the point the game is hard to play. Running backs break differently than they used to (bigger guys take longer to get going) and they brought back the high, low passing and got rid of the dart system. I really like these mechanics and makes the game flow much better. The presentation of the game is just as bad as it has always been with a poor halftime show and lazy in game commentary. Ultimate has the biggest changes for better or worse. The edition of the training system has made it easier than ever to build your own team, compared to a bunch of guys that have the same chemistry. It's early but it seems like people are spending way more money than usually on micro transactions to make their team. I wouldn't recommend this mode if you are not a patient person who likes to slowly build and save your in game currency. Longshot is such an unnecessary inclusion, really not worth a play through.

Ok, so you are thinking "Updated rosters, do I really need to jump from Madden 18 to Madden 19?" The answer is heck yeah! The real motion game play is a nice touch. I have this PS4 Pro and 4K TV, looks amazing. My wife actually thought i was watching a live football game. Still traditional Madden, so added features makes the upgrade worth it!

Improved graphics from older versions. More realistic play

Solid football game. The game feels dramatically different from last years iteration. This is a good thing, and also a bad thing. Madden 19 took many steps forward in the defense department but a few steps back on the offensive side. Offensive players play much slower than the defense giving them plenty of time to run down a wide open receiver. I think some patches can fix their mistakes. Overall a solid game.

The game play for the new Madden has been teaked a bit, making it a little more challenging (a good thing). And that is what most gamers are looking for. However, the new Longshot story is terrible. It's a soap opera based loosely on football. Cut scenes are way to long and frequent. NOt really much game playing. Do yourself a favor and just skip it, unless you want to experience "Days of Our Longshot".

The graphics on the Madden games seem to get better and better. Madden 19 didn't disappoint. Walking past the TV, I looked like my son was actually watching a live NFL game. We don't watch NFL, but my kid loves football, so Madden 19 will suffice for his football addiction. Highly recommended. Great game. Awesome graphics.

This was my first Madden game since madden 06 and I really enjoyed it. The live commentary is pretty good however my friend pointed out that it doesn't seem to follow what's currently going on in the NFL and seems to be about 5 weeks behind(rough estimate). This is understandable though it would be pretty tough to keep up with everything and update the game accordingly. Overall really fun.
