It's better than madden 22 but not by much. Kinda has the same improvements they do every year. Slightly better game graphics, no new catch animations and a few new tackle animations along with what looks to be new group tackles that gets more players involved rather than letting one or two players make a tackle while everyone watches, they do have a new ball carrier feature which allows you to tap A to get out of some tackles which was cool to use. Seen a few of the group tackles get a little glitchy but overall is also a cool feature as well. Slightly new pregame presentations such as graphic that you would see in real life of the better players being shown off in sort of a photoshoot scene so that was new. Post game is the same and halftime is the exact same as last year. Played alot of face of the franchise as a QB the new passing mechanics arent really worth the try in my opinoin seems like the whole slo mo everytime you throw the ball takes the realism out of the game, and the AI running backs are terrible they don't hit gaps unless it's where the play was designed to go so they make no effort to improvise even if there's a gap that they could easily juke to on the opposite side of the line thats big enough to drive a truck through so thats disappointing to watch. Also in FoF as QB AI receivers make 0 effort for sideline grabs I threw it to sideline countless times only for them to do rac or aggressive catch resulting in incompletions every time which was frustrating when a toe tap catch was easily do-able. All madden is tough ive played on all madden since the release of 2015 and it was never that hard nice to see it get more challenging tho but most pass plays end up in incompletions and the pass rush is insane to play against. I had to switch to All Pro to get a little enjoyment out of it. Overall it's slightly improved as always but wouldn't rush to spend 65 bucks on it. I'll stick to 22 till this goes on sale which will prob be after the season ends but im fine with that. Also didn't see new helmets in it like the Bengals white lid and wouldve liked to see the Riddell Axiom and thats a let down considering it's been out since the end of last year's football season. Hopefully those will come soon in one of the first updates along with some minor bug improvements. And most of the things i had to complain about invovling gameplay seem improvable with updates so this could be a 4 star game with updates and improvements. Played on Xbox Series S

This Madden is good. My only complaint is the continuous gltiches that happens from time to time. They have patched up a lot of the earlier bugs

It is a few years old but still works with the older model Xbox One which is nice. Because of the year you can get it cheap, if you can still get it at all. Bought it for my son to keep his seasons and teams going when GamePass dropped this version for Madden 24. Doesn't have nearly the features the newest and/or Series X/S versions have of Madden games but it is a good starting point.

It's a newer version of the game some new stuff not bad

They take a long time to download but it's nice that you can carry it with you to the next machine. Getting a little too complicated for us old guys but the kids love it

its madden not much has changed in the last 5 years no real need fo a new one every year bit thats more on ea than anything
