This is the best On-Field Madden I've played since the PS2 days. This is the closest to NFL 2K5 and APF 2K8 that EA has come with regards to how fun the gameplay is, and how much control you have over your players. This game has a good balance of player ratings and controller skill. It looks amazing, the animations are elite, and the modes are fun to play. I aint a fan boy, as the past several years of Madden have been lackluster in my opinion, but this year's game is really impressive to me. I played almost 10 years of football from junior high to minor league arena pro football, so I'm not some young punk who is judging this as a pure video game. I'm judging this as both a game and a simulation of real football. As a quarterback in real life, I can appreciate a game that forces you to read coverages, blitz packages, identify mismatches, etc.

My son and husband play this together all the time. My boy just started playing football this year and this game has been a huge interest for him and great learning of how the sport is played.

Though I preferred the old Maddens, this game is still great and looks great.

Amazing game. Best game of all time. Love to play it.

I’m a gamer from way back. I’m 48 years old , and haven’t been gaming much in the last 5 years. I just bought a PS5 for my kids, and an XBOX series X for myself. Can I just say WOW! Madden was always my favorite. The graphics, and gameplay are light years better than the last Madden I played on XBOX 360. I never thought I’d be hooked on games again. Houston, we have a problem! I’m officially hooked once again. A must have for gamers and sports fans alike! I especially like the tributes to the Late John Madden!

I pick this up $14. New not Used. John madden what's one of the best? I got this because it had his face and likeness on it.. Game play is also really good.. No comp for $14.....

Been a fan of Madden since the early Sega days and really felt the last few years EA mailed it in with the lack of effort to improve the series. Well, Madden 23 already is a massive step in the right direction and it should continue to improve throughout the season with future patches. I’ll say this. In my first quarter of my first game of 23, there was a defensive pass interference call made and a fumble reversed after a booth review. So that being said, I am impressed with this game and I haven’t even tweaked the sliders yet! Gameplay is awesome! New tackling also looks great with consistent gang tackling like in real life. I also like the fact that when you try to fight for extra yards, defenders try to hold you up for another teammate to come in for a strip! It’s also worth mentioning they improved the controls for the running game and kick returns, so now you really feel like you are in control of how your players move on the field. Defense has also seen a major upgrade and feels like they have intelligence out there. Super excited to see how this game will continue to grow as the season moves on!

awful- always crashes w the xbox- is extremely frustrating- my son just stopped trying bcuz it NEVER worked- always got an error

This game was a gift to my teen age son for Christmas and he's played it 4-5 days a week since. He said it's definitely a great game if you're into sports games. He plays it on his Xbox X system on a 42' 4K television and the graphics are amazing. I was surprised at the cost difference ($30) between this CD version and the digital download version so picking this version was a no brainer.

The game thus far is fun, great graphics. Didn't give five stars because there is an issue than many others report the unknown error message which creates difficulty connecting to EA account and have full use of the game.

Looks incredible. Not too fond of the new passing mechanics but you can use a classic mode so I’m happy. Feels like classic Madden. Looks really good.

Really nice with 4K UHD. Franchise mode created player can sign with any team, go into preseason and progress into the league calendar games. Large choice of jersey, accessory options, helmet, cage, visor, etc.

Long time player of the Madden series. This is the best version yet. The graphics and load times are fantastic for the Xbox series x. Game play with new modes is really fun to play football against different eras of teams. Big fan.

This was a christmas present for my grandson. He did not like it. Game is repetitive. Lots of glitches. I returned this item.
