About time something like this comes to market!

Couldn't be happier! Installed in a 2008 F350 with a Kenwood DNX-571HD. I was able to monitor my exhaust temp so I knew when the regeneration was taking place to clean the exhaust. The Maestro pulled info like intake, transmission, coolant, engine temps. Boost for the turbo, door status and check engine info are all available too. When your check engine light comes on it will tell you the code and you can clear it from your radio. If my truck had tire pressure sensors it would also show me the pressure in each tire. My truck had SiriusXM factory, the Maestro integrated the oem tuner into the Kenwood flawlessly. Highly recommend this product with a Kenwood.

Poduct and Technical support are very good

I am posting this review in case someone with Factory XM is installing this product with the Maestro GM5+ and an Alpine ILX-207 radio. After flashing the RR to my specific truck and radio serial number, the install went well but not 100% success. I had a flashing red light on the RR and spoke to technical support and confirmed that my flash was good, and the issue was a poorly seated data cable. After re-seating the data cable, everything was working but my factory XM. To enable my factory XM I had to change the alpine setting from aftermarket to factory. I then requested Sirius XM to send a refresh signal to my factory tuner (https://care.siriusxm.com/retailrefresh_view.action#/refreshradio). After the refresh was sent, Factory XM appeared on the main menu and XM is working. (Note: XM is not included in the band choices, only FM1, FM2 and AM.)

    Great Interface Module

This did what it was supposed to do. Make sure you check and see what features will work with your radio and your vehicle. So far the Pioneer NEX series will not show the gauges. Supposedly the new NEX 8200 series will support the gauge feature but they said that with the 8000 and 8100 series so we'll see I guess. I bought this along with the Alpine INE-W957HD and works just fine. Just double check your vehicle and if your radio will support it. If you have questions call the install bay and speak with an installer. I would stay away from the sales floor because they're just there to sling TVs and credit card financing offers.

The radio/steering wheel interface works well but it took quite a while to get used to it becasue it's NOT like the original one.

Does NOT work with Pioneer NEX

What I did not like and was VERY disappointing in was the Maestro RR interface. This was supposed to give me all the original functionality of my in car unit, plus all kinds of looks into the gauges and stuff like temp and oil pressure. I also thought it was supposed to simplify the hook up of the car stereo. Don't believe ANY of that! First off, the instructions DID NOT match the unit I have. Connectors were different (changed) on the unit shipped from what the instructions show. No explanation on how to hook up the new wires. Second, I still had to solder a LOT of wires. It may have simplified SOMEWHAT the soldering, but there is still a LOT more to do. I thought this was going to be plug and play. It is NOT. There is also a lot of talk bout the My Vehicle options Myeastro is supposed to open up. While it is no big deal to me, I must be part cats cuz I do like sparkly things. But I got NOTHING here... just a USB interface. My Car HUD has all kinds of stuff- open doors, tire pressure, olil pressure, etc. Nada from Maestro. But the thing that upsets me the most (and made me return this item!) is that the built in mic in my car was NOT recognized. Crutchfield Tech Support said,
"With the Pioneer stereo it is only possible to maintain the Bluetooth mic in Ford vehicles with the Sync system. In your VW you will need to use the mic that came with the Pioneer and use the Bluetooth built in to the radio."
So promises of using all the stuff you already have in your car is a load of hooey. This item is NOT cheap, and it is an add on to an already expensive item. It does NOT take away the soldering tasks, and it certainly does not come close to doing what it promises. If this was twenty bucks I could deal with this, but 150 bucks for some that barely works, underperformed and causes more work than it saves is NOT a product I would recommend. I contacted iDatalink and got NO RESPONSE. Crutchfield responded quickly, but can't fix a bad product from iDataLink. All in all this unit was a lot of broken promises and expectations...

Don't waste your time if you have a 2017 Titan

Don't waste your time if you have a 2017 Nissan Titan. I could never get the steering wheel controls to work with this. Tech support was useless.
