Well worth it when getting the Touch ID

So So Keyboard

Had a problem getting the keyboard to connect initially. However it has worked flawlessly ever since (including touch id). The feel and quality is not up to par with apple standards in my opinion. I also prefer a keyboard with a bit more thickness or height.

TouchID does not work with bluetooth...

The issue goes away if you connect the keyboard to your Mac with the usb cable. So... you can have a wireless bluetooth keyboard without Touch ID or a wired keyboard with Touch ID. Touch ID does not work with bluetooth.

Will NOT let you login to your MAC

I recently purchased a newer M1 mac mini and I thought it would be great to have a fingerprint reader like I use for my WindowsPC. To my chagrin, This device will NOT allow you to login to your MAC from a cold boot. It will NOT even allow you to log back in after logging out. Apple Help says this is not a design flaw but done on purpose "for security reasons". W H Y ? ? ? I am an IT Admin and IT security expert. Please educate me on these security reasons. Windows, Linux, Android do not seem to have this shortcoming. For the price of this keyboard it should also do device switching and make me a dang coffee!

Keyboard makes mac mini just like macbook pro

Wanted this so Mac Mini works the same as macbook pro laptop. As with phones, fingerprint login doesn't work after logout or restart but does work after screen lock.

Unfortunately, I did not realize I cannot make the fingerprint feature work so I still have to fingerprint from my laptop. Either way, I'll still use it.

I sent it back and got a different brand that was more comfortable to us, clear key markings....Love APPLE, but not this keyboard for sure.
