I spilled some soda on my keyboard and ruined it so I went to Best Buy to get a replacement. The sales associate suggested this model because it also included a fingerprint scanner which I thought was great!
I connected the keyboard and everything was great BUT the fingerprint scanner did not work with my iMac. My iMac is not too old at all and it was an expense 27" iMac desktop. After doing some research, I confirmed it was not compatible with my iMac! This was very disappointing!
I could have definitely taken it back, however, I hung onto it as I did need a keyboard. I would just ask that the staff be better informed before quickly suggesting things and saying they will work when they are not compatible with some. I'm not upset, just a learning experience to research it myself first!
As far as the product itself, the keyboard works excellent and just as anyone would expect from a good quality keyboard!
I really wish Apple would Make something a little more visible to the consumer before they spend this kind of money to find out the fingerprint reader doesn't work on all of their computers!
Other than that, the keyboard is working flawlessly!

My remote keyboard that I use with my laptop when I am home and have it connected to a larger monitor stopped working after many years of use. If I had known this new Magic Keyboard was available (and relatively inexpensive too), I might have replaced it sooner. It works basically the same as the old one (nice key action, etc.), but this has the Touch ID built-in (gamechanger) and it doesn't require battery changes...just an occasional recharge.

The keyboard is versatile, pairs easily, and responds in real time. The only downside is the lightning port as all Apple products are now utilizing usb-c ports.

OI had an earlier version... seems like I replaced batteries too often. The new one has rechargeable battery, which in at least three weeks I have not re-charged. Good feel when typing and i would definitely suggest you buy one too.

I just bough this keyboard for my monitor. I thought I would not like it because of the size. However, I like it a lot. The Touch ID is a really nice feature. It might not be budget friendly, but worth the money

Apple accessories work incredibly well with Apple devices. This keyboard is no exception. The fingerprint sensor is a great addition. Just a couple of things to remember. It appears you can only pair with one device at a time. Second, be sure to note the connection. This has a lightning connector and not a USB-C

I just wish it wasn't so flat. The Touch ID is amazing, and I love it, worth every penny to me, but I agree it is awful expensive for a keyboard. I used a certificate so that took some of the cost off of it, but I had been looking and looking for the right keyboard and it turns out this was the one. I love the typing response and the size is just right. Best choice I have made in a keyboard yet. The Touch ID is the bomb.

Keyboard is a standard Mac keyboard. I found the key spacing and overall size too small. (I have long, narrow fingers). I know the recommendation is not to have the keyboard tilted but I still prefer a slight tilt--the keyboard does not come with stands. As usual, overpriced, The fingerprint key works well,

If you have an Apple silicone Mac or iPad this is the one to buy. The finger print scanner is a game changer!! Only thing missing is the backlit keys. Battery last for months and the build quality is superb. Highly recommend.

I got this keyboard because i wanted to retain the Touch ID. Although this keyboard does everything i need, the only downfall is that there is no backlight. I was extremely disappointed when i learned about that. I use it when im working with my laptop through my LG 32” OLED Monitor. Overall works great.

For a $140 keyboard, I do not think it is worth it due to how the keyboard feels, as well as the minimal features - (Just fyi, I returned it the following day). I have a Macbook Air M1 and the keyboard/typing feel on the laptop feels 100% better. This product is definitely very travel friendly as it is light as a feather and minimal footprint.
