Keyboard was listed as excellent like new condition. However the letter “e” had a small chip. Returned to the store next day.

A Seamless and Efficient Typing Experience

The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad, designed for Mac models with Apple silicon, is a standout accessory that has transformed my computing experience. Its sleek silver and black design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also signifies a leap in functionality and convenience.
One of the most impressive features of this keyboard is the Touch ID. It offers a level of convenience and security that I didn't realize I was missing. Logging in and authenticating payments or app downloads is now a breeze, with just a touch of a finger. It’s fast, secure, and incredibly efficient, saving me time and hassle.
The typing experience on this keyboard is top-notch. The keys have just the right amount of travel and tactile feedback, making typing both comfortable and precise. Whether I’m drafting long documents or coding, the experience is consistently smooth and satisfying. The added numeric keypad is a boon for tasks that involve number entry, like data analysis and financial work.
Connectivity with my Mac was seamless right out of the box, thanks to the Apple ecosystem’s integration. The keyboard pairs instantly and maintains a stable connection, ensuring that my workflow is uninterrupted.
Battery life is another area where the Magic Keyboard excels. It holds a charge for a very long time, and recharging is convenient through the USB-C port. The power management is so efficient that I rarely worry about running out of battery.
In terms of ergonomics, the keyboard is designed thoughtfully. It sits at an ideal angle, reducing strain on my wrists during prolonged use. The compact size, despite having a full numeric keypad, means it fits perfectly on my desk without taking up too much space.
In summary, the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad is a perfect example of Apple’s commitment to combining form and function. It’s an investment that enhances productivity, security, and overall enjoyment in daily computer use. An essential tool for any user of Mac models with Apple silicon.

The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID has been a game-changer for my workflow. Whether I’m producing music, managing product work, or just browsing the web, the typing experience is smooth, responsive, and effortless. The Touch ID integration makes unlocking my Mac and approving purchases seamless, and the numeric keypad is great for spreadsheets and shortcuts. Battery life is solid, and it just works—no lag, no fuss. It’s easily the best keyboard I’ve used with a Mac.

Apple FINALLY listened to its business customers and brought us the Magic Keyboard WITH 10-Key. I've been a Mac user for years now and always wanted to be able to use a wireless keyboard. Unfortunately, after trying both the Logitech K750 for Mac and the Kanex MultiSync Aluminum Mac Keyboard with lackluster results, I figured it was a lost cause as Apple's Magic Keyboard didn't include the 10-Key. Then last week I learned about this one and picked one up. Here are my thoughts:
Pros:
1) It has the solid look and feel that the original Magic Keyboard has. That's a huge plus as others I've tried have been flimsy.
2) The internal battery is rechargeable via the Lightning port on the back. That's perfect since it's the same cable used by the iPhone.
3) It's very lightweight - only about 1lb.
4) Since it's made by Apple, all of the function keys operate like they're supposed to (that's not the case with aftermarket keyboards as they're not allowed to access those parts of MacOS).
5) It doesn't have the keystroke lag that other aftermarket keyboards have.
6) It doesn't have the wake-from-sleep issue that other aftermarket keyboards have.
Cons:
1) It took way to long for Apple to release this
2) The price. MSRP of $130 is steep. But, being an Apple user, I wasn't surprised.
3) It's only available in the aluminum/white color scheme. Since the vast majority of Apple computers are the MacBook, it would be nice if it were available in aluminum/black (as well as the other new MacBook color schemes).
Overall, I'm very pleased with mine and plan to buy more as needed.

TouchID

Setting up the Numeric Keypad was easy. It comes with a partly charge. It's a good idea to charge it with the charging cable that comes with even while using the keyboard with your computer. TouchID is an added bonus. Setup prompts you to complete. With TouchID you don't have to worry about typing in your password. However, each time you start your computer you have to log on. TouchID can be stopped and your computer will start without a password, but TouchID won't work.

This is a nice keyboard. I love the color. It was very simple to set up with my Mac mini and matching mouse. It’s lightweight. I only wish the keyboard was raised a little more and not so flat.

I've always been a clicky MX Blue type of person, my favorite keyboard of all time being the old NorthGate keyboards from the 90s. However I love the keyboard on my MacBook Pro and Touch ID. When I picked up a Mac Studio it just seems odd not to have it when purchasing online, logging in etc...
I noticed they had one in stock at my local store so I went and got it... initially an impulse buy.
Since purchasing about a month ago I have come to love this keyboard. Build quality is fantastic as is battery life. I've used it daily and after about a month it was still almost 70% charged.
The other thing I've been pleasantly surprised with is how fast I can type on this. Using computers since the 70s I type quite fast. As noted I like loud keys with a lot of resistance and always have but this has been different.
It's low enough you don't need a wrist rest for proper ergonomics. There is still decent travel with the keys and while the force needed to type is still present it's very quick. I've found I can type faster and more accurately with less ease on this than anything else.
If you have an Apple silicon Mac and want an external keyboard you can't go wrong with this! Yes it's expensive but not any more than a nice gaming keyboard that, like this, will last you for many years to come.
My only negative - no backlight. I expected it to have one like my MBP but it doesn't. I have a monitor light so it's not bad at night but I do miss it. I'm sure it would eat in to the batter life but I would have been ok with that.

I purchased this as an upgrade to the smaller Magic Keyboard. The Touch ID and numerical keypad make a huge difference for me, as well as the underrated upgrade of four fully sized arrow keys instead of the compressed arrow keys on the smaller keyboards.
The black color looks much more sleek and modern than the white.
It’s a bit pricey at $200, but it’s Apple. Once you buy into the system you know you’re paying an extra $100 for everything.

TouchID keyboard is nice to have. Not having to type passwords over and over, but rather just touch the sensor is nice.
It's a Mac keyboard through and through. The feel isn't like your beloved IBM Model M, but for a modern keyboard, it's good.
There is definitely an apple-tax applied here, and for the price the lack of backlighting on the keys is a bummer. I can type almost as fast on this as I can on a proper mechanical keyboard, so no issues there. It takes just a little bit of recalibration of typing pressure.
Battery life is exceptional, and it paired immediately with my new Mac Studio (and should do the same on any M-series Apple Silicon Mac). Having a numeric pad is a nice thing to have when you're doing anything needing number entry like spreadsheets and such.
Overall, a very good, if very expensive keyboard. Pretty much what one expects from Apple, with the glaring lack of backlighting on the keyboard and the price being the only things that are not great.

This keyboard has been great to use when plugging into my docking station. The keys feel similar to the macbook pro (2021), the touch ID means I don't have to open the macbook when my watch isn't on and the rechargeable battery is much nicer than one you'd need to replace the batteries in. Overall, this was a great purchase for my needs!

Love the sleek design, the light weight and how the keys feel when pressed — soft to the touch and very quiet. Expensive, but you get what you pay for and Apple products tend to last. I'm currently using this with an older MacBook Pro (2012 Retina) and quickly realized that some of the features on the keyboard are not compatible, which is not surprising. Things like volume control and most if not all of the "upper keys". This keyboard is designed for newer Macs with Apple silicon using macOS 11.4 or later. I will soon be using my newest MacBook Pro M1 with this keyboard and expect no compatibility issues.

I love the Apple Magic keyboard , it has several extra function keys , very lite weight , wireless , really long battery life between charges and has the added benefit of the Touch ID for quick and convent unlocking and apple store purchases. I like that I can move it around easily on my studio desk or place it out of the way when I'm recording or I need to have extra stuff in front of me like musical equipment on my desk that I need quick access to. I wish it had legs on the back so I could increase the angle of it but that is just a personal thing as that doesn't affect the performance of the devise. great Apple quality as usual.

A Touch ID Solution for Dual Monitor Setup

I recently purchased the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad, primarily for the Touch ID function. After transitioning to a two-monitor dock system at work, I wanted to keep my MacBook Pro closed, but was frustrated by having to type my password every time to unlock it and enter usernames and passwords on websites. I tried using my Apple Watch for unlocking, but it didn't solve the issue of entering credentials for the websites I use daily.
This keyboard has been a great solution. The Touch ID feature is incredibly convenient, making it easy to unlock my MacBook Pro and manage passwords effortlessly. The build quality is excellent, and the numeric keypad is a useful addition for data entry tasks. Overall, it's a fantastic keyboard that has significantly improved my workflow.

I already have the space grey one without the touch ID. For some reason the keys on this one are much softer to the touch. And the Touch ID is an awesome add on. The price is a little more than I would like, but that's what you get when you buy apple. Sometimes you are buying the experience. So it was worth the experience to me. And it goes good with my MAC STUDIO.

I’ve been wanting one of these for awhile. My desktop setup is much cleaner looking without all the additional wires. Battery life is great, and the keys are just as smooth and quiet as my MBP keyboard. I bought it just before the USB-C version came out, but that isn’t that big of a deal to me. I do wish the keyboard itself was backlit, but I see that there’s only so much room to work with in this keyboard.
