Magic Jack was easy to set up. Works great. It was a pleasure transferring my number that I had for 40 years to my Magic Jack. It saves me over $30.00 a month. I love my Magic Jack!

This has been a very easy and reliable transition so far. The porting of my number was quick. The quality of the conection has been flawless. I can receive calls on my cell phone though the app. There is no accual customer service to talk too but i dod not need any help. There is no call waiting. I use it with my current cordless phones withe the answering machine and it works normal. It does have a voicemail which cam be accessed through the app. Well worth it

I have been using this device since it came to market in late 2000's. I have used 3 versions and they have all performed great. I recommend you connect to router rather than PC incase you have to shutdown or it goes to sleep. This way your phone is active and you can also forward it to your cell phone and literally take it with you. It also has an App that you can use in Canada, Mexico or anywhere in the world. Your voicemail is also sent to you in an email. All this for less than $6 a month!

MagicJack cost about $60 for a full year including the fee to transfer my existing landline number. I previously had Cox phone service. Cox wanted about $40 per month to provide phone service after I canceled all of my other Cox services as part of a total technology upgrade. MagicJack cost about $60 for a full year including the fee to transfer my existing landline number. I have no further landline costs for the next year. I see no difference in quality between magicJack and Cox. Next purchase - a call blocker to get rid of all of those nuisance calls.

Purchased this item to reduce phone costs, and it works as advertised. All the feature s that are advertised work well and tech support was very good when needed. Ported my phone number within one week. Voice clarity is excellent and caller ID works well. Does not have call waiting caller ID, but for approx. $3.35 a month for local long distance (opted for a additional year ) First year is included with purchase.

I like having a house phone and this is a way cheaper way to keep my landline number going. The total fee to port in my number was $23.22 or you can choose a new number for free. My port was completed in 4 days over a weekend. In my area there's a $11.40 yearly E911 fee. My centurylink bill is $36.41 per month less by taking the phone service off and keeping the DSL internet going. Call quality is fine and the cell phone app is good too.

Could not get it to work with our ATT tv's and they are all "Smart tv's." Tried to speak with someone and that did not happen either. Returned the product to Best Buy for a full refund.

I was a bit skeptical because of price and issues some have had, but so far it has worked well for us. It was easy to set up, add 911 service, and transfer our home phone number. Tech support was responsive when I reached out. Voice quality is good. Mobile app works well, except that on my Android phone there is a non-trivial voice delay (which I've seen with other similar apps, so not unexpected). We haven't been using the phone system for long distance, so those costs and potential issues aren't relevant. Only complaints so far: intrusive call waiting tone and off-hook tones after someone has left a message on our home answering machine (we haven't transitioned to Magic Jack's voicemail system yet, though it seems to work well). Based on our experience and needs I have no hesitation in recommending it.
