I am a long-time user of Malwarebytes. I worked in the I.T. industry a few years ago, and this program was always the go-to software if we suspected a computer was infected with any kind of malware, especially if the anti-virus missed it. Even now, I will run the free version on a family member's computer if they call me with a problem. The premium version allows for the app to run in the background and provide real-time protection, and it will also scan on a schedule. In trying this on my own computer, I noticed that it was very light, causing almost no impact on system resources compared to most anti-virus and security programs I have worked with. Even running my first scan, which only took about 5 minutes, had only a small impact. Basically, my browsing was not as smooth. Animations and page loading seemed a little jittery, but did not stop the pages from loading at what felt like normal speed. I should also note that I run Windows 10 own "Windows Security" instead of a third-party antivirus. The program interface is very clean and easy to navigate, as is also the settings menu. There is even an option for dark/light mode, and the background of the interface. Some of the options in the settings menu are a bit advanced. Advanced users may find some of these tools useful, but casual users may be a bit overwhelmed. Fortunately, the Advanced Settings does warn the user not to change these unless advised by Malwarebytes support. Upon my first scan, Malwarebytes found 8 problems. When I reviewed the directory that each of these problems was found in, it turned out that every one of them was related to Google Chrome, my primary browser. They all listed the sync directory, and because I sync Google Chrome through Google's service, I immediately knew that it wasn't a rogue application on my PC, but was surprised that Malwarebytes was flagging this in its default configuration. A casual user might be confused by this. Quarantining the files in part or full was easy, although Google Chrome, which was running at the time, immediately terminated. I then navigated to the quarantine and found it was easy to restore these files if I wanted to. However, as I later opened Google Chrome and continued to use it, the following day, Malwarebytes found the same 8 files. Again, this might confuse a casual user. I think the program should offer some advise when such files are found in commonly utilized (and deemed safe) programs such as a web browser. Overall, I would recommend this program, especially if you are the technical expert in your family. Having it running in the background adds an extra layer of protection for family members who unintentionally (or intentionally) invite harmful files into their computers. I would recommend to Malwarebytes to offer a little more guidance to its Scan Results page, especially if the findings are related to commonly used programs.

Malwarebytes was on the forefront of this type of protection and this premium version has all the bells and whistles for 3 devices for one year..At 10 bucks each that's a pretty good price for some additional peace of mind. Download and install was simple, and the first scan revealed some stuff that my regular antivirus also tries to get rid of that isn't unwanted, so it does act in a way as an antivirus. The important thing is it is constantly checking the content that your browsers are downloading to make sure that poison isn't on the plate. I saw no difference in speed or action with the computer or the web browsing after installing it and opting to have it run in the system tray. It's a good functional program to add to your arsenal.

Malwarebytes - 4.0 Premium is so simple to install and use. Just sign up with your email and create a password, download the installer and follow the instructions to enter your activation code and you are protected from malware, adware and any threats that you could possibly download without your knowledge. It runs so peacefully in the background without constant windows popping up telling you to "upgrade to this package", "buy this premium edition", etc, like a certain 3 letter antivirus I previously had. I did a scan when I first installed it and it found PUP files that went undetected by my previous antivirus. This is the best and least obtrusive device protection out there in my opinion.

Malwarebytes - 4.0 Premium (3-Devices) - Android, Mac, Windows Once you’ve purchased the product and have your activation code, you can download and install Malwarebytes 4.0 Premium on three different Android, Mac or Windows devices. I chose to install the program on three of my Windows computers - one desktop and two laptops. It adds to and works well with Windows Defender. And, if you don’t need or want to use all three of the installations yourself, the program lets you send an email invitation to someone else, allowing them to use the remaining install(s). In addition to the expected virus protection, Malwarebytes 4.0 Premium also protects your devices against malware, adware, ransomware and online scammers, And, it warns you when you unknowingly visit a web site that poses a possible threat. It can even identify new threats that haven’t been seen before. It does this by using Artificial Intelligence (AI). This means that, once installed, you can breathe a little easier, knowing that you're already protected against future online threats. In addition to locating and identifying real and potential threats, Malwarebytes Premium also locates and identifies what it calls “potential unwanted programs (PUPs)” on your devices and allows you to quarantine them. (You can later choose to delete or restore any or all of these quarantined files.) And the program even includes helpful security news articles. You can customize your protection and schedule scans to run at a time that works best for you. (There are three different scan modes to choose from.) And, of course, you can always choose to run a manual scan anytime you feel the need to do so. System Requirements 250MB HDD space; active Internet connection; Microsoft Windows 7 or higher / Mac OS X 10.11 or higher / Android 4.4 or higher. Once installed, Malwarebytes runs in the background as it continually protects your devices, both while you work and while you sleep. Makes one feel a lot safer, knowing that Malwarebytes is constantly on guard, providing that extra layer of needed security while protecting you and your devices from the bad guys.

There are so many people out there trying to steal your information or just plain wreak havoc by creating viruses an malware. The Malwarebytes premium is supposed to help protect up to 3 of your devices from these malicious viruses, spyware, fraudulent websites and new threats that people come up. It was easy to install and only took a few minutes - and it will always update itself to the newest version. Once I had it installed - I ran the first report and was happy to find I did not have any threats on my computer. It continues to run and protect my computer. Great way to protect yourself and your investment.

I’ve been using Malwarebytes for about 9 years now and I never had a problem since. A very long time user. They even allowed me to upgrade to a newer version of the software. There is a certain peace of mind when using this software. It’s simple to use, easy to install, and very much out of the way when in use. This is one of the best modern virus software there is for Windows PCs. Setup was simple and straightforward; you download and install the software to your windows PC, put in your activation code, and activate on Malwarebytes website. Using the software on two gaming PCs and a laptop with no issues. They allow up to three activations and the subscription only lasts a year. The program can scan files and quarantine them or delete them if they pose a threat to your massively expensive machine. You can also pick which files you would like to scan. Scanning for rootkits and the likes and getting rid of them. Malwarebytes protects you from also strange and potentially dangerous websites. The UI is nice on a Windows PC because they actually take advantage of Dark Mode and GPU acceleration does it’s no longer as choppy as it was. The layout is very simple and easy to read as they also give you tips on some of the actions. There are tons of features that help you stay protected and better features in this 4.0 version. If anything I can vouch for this product for years of use, Malwarebytes was the best among the older virus protection like Norton for me. I will or hope to use them for another 10 years. 5 out of 5 stars if you need a robust protection program.

The install is simple, just download, install, and add the key you get. After that, I don't even notice its there except for the occasion scan or if you start to go to places you shouldn't be. The overall software is there to help protect you so not much you do within it, but go to a website that tests your virus and malware blocking and you get notices right away. This is an added layer of protection that is well worth it. The paid version is good and I would recommend it, but you can start with the free one first.

The install of the software was a little involved, it required validating the code and then downloading the app and then validation all over again. Once it was installed it was very easy to use and protect your mobile device. It basically protects your device 24/7, the app is running the in background and the scan is very easy as it is just a button press and your device is scanned. No more spyware when browsing sites or unwanted app installs. Very easy to use!

Malwarebytes Free has always been an element of my arsenal. I have gotten very lazy with it, though. I never open emails that I don't recognize at some level. I'm not downloading files like crazy anymore - haven't used my uTorrent to download anything in a couple years now. So I feel safe. But I got a chance to review their premium edition (which is available for three devices). And this is an incredible installation for me (at least for PC - more on that later). Download and installation are effortless - Malwarebytes has been on top of this for years now. Once I agreed to let them scan my PC and to allow them to scan it regularly, I got a surprise - within seconds of committing, they identified a toxic file in my system whose source I could not reconcile. And the program identified it so quickly that it kinda startled me. Sometimes, little accomplishments like this remind you of the value of well-developed applications. Malwarebytes for Android is not the aerodynamic racehorse that Malwarebytes for Windows is. My initial phone scan on a VERY fast phone took almost four minutes (PC version took several seconds). But I'll give the Android version some space because I felt that the scan was actually looking for problematic software (I had none). Free or paid or premium, this has been and continues to be incredible software. I'm a very careful and responsible computer user - and I am always thankful for the alerts I get from Malwarebytes that I didn't expect. For someone living closer to the internet's edge, I think that Malwarebytes would be indispensable,

I have been a fan of Malwarebytes (MB) for years, starting with the free edition. Five years ago, liking the product so well, I bought a lifetime license (no longer available, I believe) for the full version. As I added new computers, etc., I moved my license to the newest computer and used the free version on the others. Now, with this latest 4.0 edition being available for 3 devices (including Android), I can use Premium on all my computers/devices at a reasonable cost. Downloading the 4.0 software to my primary computer and setting it up was done so fast, I did not even have time to get a refill for my tea. First run reported no issues, and that continues with each day’s scheduled run. Because my trust of MB built over the years, I have no reason to doubt it is doing the job. In addition, because MB, as effective as it is even if stand-alone, it does not interfere with most antivirus software. So, if you want to double cover, go for it. I do not know of any software that can 100% guarantee to keep your device clean all by itself. More than once, MB has warned me I am about to get on a dicey or dangerous website. The web address may look good, but sometimes a typo can get you to a place you do not want to be. Just in performing all MB says it can do, I trust it to be there working full-time for me. If you want to safely operate your computers and other devices, do yourself a favor by installing Malwarebytes 4.0 on them. Also, MB not being a static product is already 4.2.0. Another reason to trust Malwarebytes!

Very easy to install and setup. Works seamlessly with most other anti-virus programs. Scans are quick on PC, but take a little time on Android if you have a lot of applications installed. It is comforting to have the extra security to catch malware that other software may miss. I have not noticed any slow downs on any of my devices. It also has an internet privacy extension that can be added to Chrome and Firefox.

The first thing I noticed after installing Malwarebytes is that it doesn't slow down my computer's startup like the last anti-virus program I had. So now my computer starts up faster since switching to Malwarebytes. The interface is very clean, simply laid out, and user friendly. It's very easy to understand and navigate. Everything is straightforward. Also, the scan for threats goes very fast. Aside from scans, when threats are detected you get an unobtrusive pop-up window with the threat information and the threat is quarantined. The one thing I don't like about this product is that in order to put it on a second or third device you have to use a different email address for every device, which I don't understand at all why they make you do that. So if you want to have three devices protected, you have to have three different emails. You may want to take that into consideration if you want to install it on more than one device. I don't know if other anti-virus/malware programs have that same requirement. Anyway, I still gave it five stars because of the program itself and the way my computer performs with it.

This product comes with the ability to use on 3 different devices for a one year term, can be any mix of Windows PC, Mac, or Android devices. I have been using Malwarebytes on PCs since 2013 when I got a lifetime license for a single device that I still use to this day. I have found Malwarebytes to be of great use in helping avoid many problems with malware. The support forums are great, and steered me towards using the BETA releases when I had an issue last year. The scan scheduler is intuitive and easy to use. The real-time protection does a great job of warning you when you might be going to a suspect website. Malwarebytes will help protect you from ransomware and rootkits as well. It also does a good job of identifying PuPs (potentially unwanted programs) that might be operating not in your best interest in the background on your device. Malwarebytes can be a set it and forget it type of program. It will occasionally tell you that a program update is available, but you can also drill down in to the details and options and ask for the program updates manually. It always checks for definition updates before scanning each time. I set it to scan every day that I am using the computer. It runs well in the background and does not hog a lot of resources, and won't bog down the operations of most computers. I can still recommend this product for malware after all these years. I make sure it is on all the PCs that the family uses to get online.

I like that this provides some added malware prevention above the builtin Windows threat protection that comes with Win 10. I have always liked malwarebytes but the premium runs all the time which is the point of seeing a threat and preventing it before my system or files are damaged. It is really easy to understand and I do not feel like it has slowed down my pc. I like the product a lot except the subscription model but really these days everything is that way so cannot fault them.

This software has really opened my eyes. Upon installation it scanned my computer and came up with several files that it wanted to quarantine as possible threats. This was alarming to me as I've always used antivirus on my PC and didn't realize things like this were getting through. So right off the bat it got me wondering how long I've been exposed to malware without knowing. Next I added the chrome add-in and it immediately started showing me the ads and trackers it was blocking with a counter in the add-in icon. On a sports website I frequent daily, it showed 7 things it blocked! So again this software opened my eyes to how much data is getting mined from me. The last thing I would like everyone to know is how this software has worked so quietly in the background. Its running its scans and I don't even know it until it pops up and lets me know its complete with a scan. So its working perfectly in concert with my antivirus. I would recommend this software to add another layer of protection to your PC that might save you from some very large headaches down the line.

It's kind of hard to write a review about this product because its one of those things that you dont actively use, but you know its there. I've had this installed for roughly a week or so and i havent noticed any loss in speed or increase in lag and the scans seem to run pretty quickly. As I said, i really dont notice this software until or unless i manually run a scan. I guess that in itself is worth the 4 stars.

So I've been testing out the Malwarebytes 4.0 Premium version for about a week now and have been pleasantly surprised. The download and installation was quick, easy, and simple. Once installed and logged in, I started up a scan. I was surprised at how fast it scanned my computer for any potential malware. And lo' and behold it found about 45 potential malware programs and/or files hiding away on my computer. What I like about this program is that once it locates the suspicious files, it gives you the option of checking out each file to make sure whether or not its malware or not. If it is, you can quarantine the file or restore it. I was able to go through the files and see what was what and respond accordingly. The entire scan process for my computer was under a minute and a half. Another good thing that I like about Malwarebytes is that it runs along my antivirus program (AVG) with no issues.

I have been an avid Malwarebytes customer for many years now and only trust their software on my devices. I know my computer is protected from harmful malware and feel more confident when entering websites to buy products and services. The main reason I use Malwarebytes is because it uses such a small amount of processing power, I can leave it active during gaming online and it does not slow down my speeds one bit. I highly recommend Malwarebytes especially for the simple installation and user interface, my 87 year old grandmother can even use it.
