Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the 290 Tripod with Fluid Video Head's stability, lightweight design, and ease of use. Many appreciate the quality build and the smooth operation of the fluid head, which enhances adjustability. However, some users noted challenges with panning and the mounting plate, including missing components in some instances. Overall, the positive feedback on the tripod's key features outweighs the reported minor drawbacks.

Needed a sturdy tripod for my GH5 and I love it. I've been using it for awhile and I'm very satisfied with the quality - price.

This is my review of the Manfrotto - 290 Tripod with Fluid Video Head - Black. So far I like the tripod being that it's a little more fluid that my past one.

I ise this tripod for my spotting vortex spotting scope. Way better then my 209. Fuild head makes a big difference. I wish the knobs didnt feel cheap. The head unit is awesome. I feel confident with my 70D going on it and walking around with my spotting scope on it. I would recommend for entry level film maker. I would take this backpacking back country.

Great tripod for many situations. Solid and can handle reasonably big cameras although I might put some anchoring weight on it if I had a big heavy lens on the camera.

Pretty smooth since it is a Manfrotto but since it’s the one of the cheaper ones, it does have some minor flaws. Like not being 100% smooth when you pan.

Im a wedding videographer and I did so much research on manfrotto tripods, I own three different kinds and don’t like any of them a whole lot. I was in a pinch where one broke and this was the only one they had at my Best Buy so I just bought it and it’s definitely my favorite one! The panning is very smooth, set up is easy and overall a fair price for the quality! I highly recommend if you’re looking for an affordable but decent tripod!

Does the job. I also have the quick release on it so I can snap my camera on it with ease. It is a bit light so I would definitely put some weights on it if you're going to take photographs or film in areas or days that are breezy.

Bought these to use with Celestron Skymaster Pro celestial binoculars which are quite large and heavy. This tripod is the fourth that I bought and have used with the binoculars and is the best so far. Strong and steady with easy adjustment.

It is not a total travel tripod as it doesn’t fold up really small, but it is light and sturdy enough to for a DSL video shoot. It’s didn’t have the smoothest range of motion but I am keeping it for a second camera when I have to do a two camera shoot and don’t want a lot of heavy gear with me
