This show caught my eye online and I decided to take a chance and purchase on blu-ray. it's competently written, well-acted and has an interesting setting for a show. It's also very well produced and captures the period and location very well. If you have an interest in World War II era drama set in an unusual place (New Mexico) I recommend Manhattan - Season 1. Curious to see where things develop for Season 2.

Yeah, it's a fictional account of a very important historic event and as film and TV so often does, a bit over-dramatized. But still a good show to watch. Looking forward to future seasons.

Really liked characters and plot involving the personal relationships and stress associated with development of the atomic bomb. Seemed very real. Good acting and set.

Manhattan is a series that delivers! The show is set pre-WWII, and is about the folks who were designing the Atom Bomb. Great acting!

I had never seen Manhattan when I got the blu-ray. I liked the show. The blu-ray looks and sounds good for a tv show.

I looked forward to this show, anticipating it would be a real gem, but found it was relatively flawed. Far too much emphasis on the melodramatic 'relationships' of tertiary characters. The science, what there is of it, is largely focused on implosion vs. gun design. I'll watch the next season when it becomes available on disc but have low expectations.
