I've always wanted to try the Law Mower from Manscaped, but never have. When I saw the Beard Hedger, I knew I needed to try it out. For context, I currently use a hair/beard trimmer to trim my facial hair as well as to shave my head. I haven't had the guts to use a razor on my head so...these trimmers are what I use. Out of the box, it's a nice looking trimmer. It fits in your hand and is comfortable...more importantly it's balanced. I used it to trim my facial hair after charging and it does a great job. There were no snagging or hot spots when pushing through. It does a good job of cutting without missing spots. The blades cleaned up easily without trapping a lot of hair inside. The guide is easily used just by turning the dial. The next day my wife used it to buzz off all the hair on my head. It was only about a 1/4 inch on the top but for me that's long. It trimmed down to the scalp with no guard. There were no issues and it did it without snagging or bogging down at all. My wife liked the feel compared to out old trimmer and she said she didn't feel it "tire out" like out older trimmer. Overall, its a great product so far. The "ON" and "OFF" switch is probably the only complaint. She said it was stiff, but I though that was a good thing so that you didn't accidentally turn if off in the middle of a trim.

This is a fine piece of machinery. It almost feels like it belongs in a tool box more than a bathroom drawer. The cutting is smooth and very consistent, much more consistent that any clippers or trimmers I have ever used. The adjustments seem to be a little short on the measurement, definitely start a little longer than you normally would trim and work your way back. The 7/7.5 settings seem closer to a 5 on my other trimmer. Might be my other trimmer lack of cutting ability or the fact this one cuts almost in one pass. I have this as a mark up, because it is a one pass trimmer, so the short cut may be because it is so efficient. One ding I will give. Documentation does not explicitly state that the unit is water proof, water resistant or an IP rating. The box does say IPX7, which translates to a very high rating equivalent to being in 3 foot of water for 30 minutes. A great rating, but would be great to see that in the documentation and not just on the box. Overall, this is a great beard hedger. Calling it a trimmer would be an injustice to it...even though I called it that earlier. It is large, easy to clean and very well built. This should last as long as the battery is good. This outperforms our commercial grade hair clippers, I am very impressed.

The Manscaped Beard Hedger brings the Manscaped brand back upstairs to bring you the same quality trim on your beard as they do on your... Whether you are looking for a trim off the ends or short and tight manscaped beard, this trimmer can do it. Bringing a unique blade cover, this trimmer attempts to find the solution to the stubborn hairs that lay flat and are often missed by other trimmers. Their goal is to get an even trim in one pass. I found this trimmer to be good. It does what other trimmers do and it gets close to accomplishing the goal of a one pass trim, but like others falls short. It may just be my beard, but I had to use several passes to get everything. I did appreciate that a majority of the beard was a one-pass event however. I loved the design of an all-in-one trimmer with easy to use height selections and yet the guard is still removeable for the fine, detailed trims for clean up. PROS - Manscaped brand and recognition - Well designed and easy to use out of the box - Holds charge for weeks and numerous shaves - Comes with an awesome travel case! - Quickly charges for use in just minutes CONS - Not truly a one-pass trim, but close

I really like this razor as it is using a standardized power cable to charge. There have been many times that while traveling, I find that I did not bring the charger or I brought the cable for an old razor that is not compatible with the one I have with me. This uses a standard USB type C which is easily acquired if I did not bring one. The USB C cable can stay packed and I have others to use in the house. The case that it comes with is small and easy to pack. There is a nice netted area to carry the power cable and charging block. So many other razors I have had simply give you a bag and wish you the best of luck. The ergonomics are quite nice and it feels like there are more length options than other razors I have used. Cleanup is easy as it is able to be used and rinsed in the water. I would note that it does not come with any brush to clean out the teeth, but I think with the ability to simply rinse and pack, there should not be that much need to use a small brush. The motor feels strong, I cannot comment on battery life as I have not had to charge it yet. I would definitely recommend this.

My husband was in the market for a new beard trimmer and I've heard a lot of good things about the Manscaped brand. In the box comes the trimmer, charger, travel case, and the guard to set different lengths. The trimmer itself is gloss and matte black has a high quality feel to it as you would expect a trimmer at this price point to be. It is also waterproof so it can be used in the shower if so desired. I charged it for a few hours before use. My husband was able to trim his beard, then shave the sides down to just have a goatee. Then I shaped up the back of his neck and the trimmer still had not died yet. He did not have any spots where he got nicked. He felt like the trimming went smooth and did not pull at all. He also used it as a body trimmer -manscaping- because it worked so well. When I was shaping up the back of his neck, it did not require multiple passes. If you were in a pinch, it could probably be used as buzzers for a haircut. It seems to have the precision to accomplish that.

The Manscaped Beard Hedger is the best trimmer I have ever used, once I figured out that it is held kind of opposite the way I have held every other shear or trimmer. Ergonomically it feels a little weird, but the cut it provides is amazing, and I'm sure I'll get used to holding in a way that feels backward. Manscaped has a great YouTube video showing how to use it correctly, so if you're confused about it like I was, give it a watch. So, having said all that, things I like about the beard hedger: - Adjustment. The guard is adjusted using a cylindrical dial in the middle of the trimmer and adjusts in 0.5mm increments providing an extremely precise cutting height. - Guard. the guard is easily removable when you need to trim around the edges or trim your neck. - Waterproof. Manscaped states this in the video mentioned above so if you like, you can use it in the shower, or the lake, or the river. Not that I would do any of those, but it sure makes it easy to clean. - Build quality. It seems to be very well built, and the guard is thicker plastic than other brands I have owned. It feels heavy and solid in the hand. - USB-C charging port. Makes it easy to charge anywhere, especially while traveling, and the charger can be used for other USB-C devices (or vice-versa) so fewer things need to be packed - Travel Case - A nice, fitted travel/storage case is included. also very convenient since I travel often for work, and its of the same rugged build quality as the unit itself, and has space for the trimmer, USB-C charger and cable. Things I don't like: - Feeling like I'm holding it backward. But I'll get used to that, so I don't count that against the product. Overall, fantastic product that gives excellent results in keeping a neatly trimmed beard.

This company really impresses me as I have a few of their products. First off this unit the packaging is very impressive to the point that you want to possibly reuse the box for reuse. The box is very sturdy. Inside the box there is the beard trimmer, ac adapter, usb-c cable, length setting comb and a very nice travel bag. The unit is very well built and ergonomic. It sits well with your hand and the buttons and length setting dial is easy to move but not to easy that the setting could easily change. The dial has clicks as you turn it and the guard moves smoothly and evenly. I was concerned about the dial and how even it was but it was just what I expected. There are 20 lengths on the dial I believe from 0.5mm to 10mm. I have used it for a few trimmings and the unit is still on the first charge. The instructions state it can run 60 minutes so I am waiting to see if that is close. The unit can be used in a wet setting. I tried it once but I typically like to trim my beard before I take a shower. The unit is not to loud but it does feel like it has some power. I do not have a thick beard so I don't know how well it works with thick beards but for mine I really like how it works.

I have owned several of these kinds of devices and this is by far the nicest. The design fits very nicely in the hand and has a feel that indicates quality. There is just one attachment that solidly attaches and they easily adjusts with a thumb roller to change the depth of cut. Once adjusted it cuts through both hair and beard very smoothly. My beard is quite course and grows at all different angles and this still works great. The included case holds the device and charging components perfectly and is very compact. It too has a very nice feel to it and will fit nicely in my toiletry case for travel. The USB wall wort is compact too and with that is a USB C cable that charges the device. Having a USB C cable is wonderful as it reduces the number of them needed for travel as all my other devices use that connection type. This is a little more costly than some other units I have had but it is clearly worth it in my opinion as it is comfortable and easy to use. Having just one attachment makes for ease of organization too. The cutter without the guard, makes a smooth cut very close to the skin. You may want to shave after but to be honest I don't find that necessary

This is easily the best trimmer I've purchased, and I've purchased a lot over the years. The easy to use, adjustable blade guard gives you the exact length you're looking for. Battery life is great. Come with a case for easy out of the way storage. 10/10, would recommend.

    Hand Down Best Beard Trimmer!

After years of using the hair clippers (I know🤦🏻‍♂️) to trim my beard I decided to upgrade to the Manscsped trimmer and after using it for a week…I wish I would’ve upgraded sooner! The packaging and carrying case is top notch, just opening it you can feel the quality. Comes with a charging block/cable & trimmer with detachable guard. The guard can be easily removed to trim skin tight and when the guard is in place, will trim in lengths from .5 to 10. It took about an hour to fully charge and I’ve used it twice to trim my beard and it’s still operating like it was fully charged, no battery lag to be found. I’ve discovered the best way to trim is start by going with the grain, then going against and the back with the grain. This will cut all the hairs and significantly reduce strays or flyaways. If you need to get any pesky hairs just pop the guard off and clean them up. A nice perk is that if you remove the guard you can trim body hair with relative ease. The skin safe technology protects all the sensitive areas and if you’re inclined to rock a happy trial, this is an excellent way to get the proper hair length…highly recommend!!!

I really love how Manscaped designed this new all-in-one trimmer: First the comb - 10 different length settings and one barrel selector for the best trimming and length management without extras and accessory combs to keep track of in a bag or travel with. Second the charger - As USB-C becomes more and more ubiquitous, this was a must for my next all-in-1 trimmer - Allows me to charge it with any other Type C charger (but I do appreciate that they included one as well!!) The weight and storage: this thing is hefty/well built but not heavy at all! I also love its portability with the nice small hard carry case included. Really makes traveling with trimming abilities easier! The overall industrial design is great, the cutting power is good for facial and body hair, and the comb height adjustment worked perfectly for all of my use cases. I’d highly recommend for anyone wanting simple, one-piece, easy charging beard or body hair management. There are no better modern, smart trimming/care products for men than the Manscaped lineup!!

The guard is the most comfortable guard I’ve ever felt on my face and using the dial to adjust your desired beard length is easy and intuitive. The ergonomics are terrific so it feels comfortable to hold and use. It charges quickly and I was able to go a full week on a single charge. It also has a high quality carry or storage case. It’s rigid enough to protect the shaver and has room for the charging block, charging cable, and the shaver. The thing that keeps it from being great for me is the guard. While it’s super comfortable, it seems like the teeth are thicker than most shavers. I had to make a lot more passes to get my whole beard the same length. It probably added 3-4 minutes to the time it usually takes to trim my beard. There is also a little bit of a wiggle in the guard at full extension. Not enough to cause a lop-sided cut, but it stands out when compared to how well everything else about the shaver is engineered. I do wish it would adjust up to 12mm instead of maxing out at 10mm but 10 seems to be the norm for dial-adjusted shavers so I can’t count that as a negative.

If you are a teenage boy or a man who cannot grow facial hair, this is the trimmer for you. If you grow a normal or bushier man beard, steer clear of the "Beard Hedger". I am very disappointed as I really want to like this thing. Upon receiving the box, I commented to myself how heavy it was. It was a nice box and when I opened it, the trimmer lay inside. It is very sleek looking and simple which is an aesthetic that I like. No need to overcomplicate things. I charged it overnight and tried it out the next day. The thing that sticks in my head the most is how much my face hurts from running this thing across it 10,000 times. This thing is deceiving because it has a powerful hum when you turn it on. Makes you feel confident that it's going to do it's job. WRONG! This thing bogs down like crazy. The max setting on the comb is like 1/4 of inch. If you have beard hair longer than 1/2", this thing sounds like a lawnmower trying to go through 1 foot tall grass. The design of the comb is terrible. You have to clear the clogs out from underneath several times. All in all, it took about 15 minutes to do a job that my trusty old one does in 3. Underpowered, under designed, and just not thought through. Very disappointed.

This device does a great job doing exactly what it says. So much so that I have purchased 3 of them because they work for a few months then randomly stop charging and working. Legitimately have purchased 3 of these and they all did the same exact thing. Thought I was unlucky twice, third time is the charm and I am done with giving them the benefit of the doubt.
