Add the amp for better sound quality

Should be better

Owned for 10 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This power amp does not have much power, It is rated for 8 Ohms speakers but will power 4 ohms speakers - the watts per channel does go down to 70 watts when you do connect 4 ohms speakers. It will run hot, too. I have 7 other amplifiers, some with as many as 10000 watts per channel at 4 ohms (Monoblocks) and every single one of them is always cooler than the Marantz, wether they are Monoblocks, Stereo Amps or multi channel If you do not require much from your amp, this will do.

Doesn’t support 4 ohm speakers

Unfortunately all my speakers are 4 ohm and marantz no longer builds amps that support going that low. If you have 6 ohm speakers or above, then it’s an excellent amp.

Sound is so much better

Great Amp

I have it paired with a Marantz AV7701 Pre Tuner. This is an awesome combination. I prefer the Multi Channel Stereo setting for music. Great warm sound.

I wanted to stay with the same family of products. Marantz is great quality stuff.
