Sorry to learn you had movie interruptions of this type. While 4 Ohm speakers can offer a tougher load to an amplifier, there are a number of reasons why this might have been happening in your system. Some 4 Ohm loads are tougher than others, in particular if the speakers are not especially efficient, and the room is on the larger side. It's hard to be certain exactly what was causing this issue without being there when it happened, or knowing the make and model of your speakers. We do, however have plenty of experience with our multi-channel power amplifiers successfully driving 4 ohm loads courtesy of our Low Impedance Continuous Drive Capability.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 7010 receiver and I decided to add a 7055 to improve the sound and fill up an open spot in my cabinet. I have the 7055 driving my three fronts speakers and the receiver is driving the rears and Atmos toppers. The 7055 made a noticeable improvement to the sound of the three front speakers. More dynamic and larger sounding. Nice bonus that it cosmetically matches my 7010 and looks great. It runs barely warm and is absolutely silent. Highly recommended.
