Worst Marantz I’ve owned

Since i have 3 subs that’s saying a lot!! Music is off because the bass isn’t played accurately and there is no boom in sound effects any more. Other big complaint the update took away the ability to assign each channel to be powered by an amp. Now its only the L & R or the 2 rear surrounds.

Posted .Hello, the Marantz Cinema 50 provides pre-outputs for all 11.4 channels. If your front speakers are set to large in the receiver's settings, set your Bass output to LFE + Main. Sound fails

Only by powering down and powering on again was I able to get sound back

It was easy to set-up with the on-screen menu that walks you through your speaker configuration. The receiver provides great picture quality to my display. Works as advertised using Ultra high-resolution cables. I am very pleased and would recommend this AVR receiver to all.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a Marantz SR6015, similar model to the Cinema 50, in November 2021 from Best Buy. Thirty-seven months later, it began to freeze and would not unfreeze without unplugging it, only to have it freeze again. Reloading the firmware did not solve the problem. Maratnz's warranty department refused to fix it. Evidently, a 36 month warranty means 36 months of expected life. Be prepared to buy another brand if you would like to have a company that stands behind their product quality.
