Yes it looks great. Yes it sounds great. Yes it works well. This review is for the Gamers. Purchased this receiver due to my Yamaha Receiver not fully supporting 4K 120Hz games on my LG OLED. After some research I found all new Marantz and Denon receivers should work. The biggest difference between the Denon and Marantz will come down to your budget and build quality. Because both brands are made by the same company you will not see a substantial performance difference between the two: Marantz Cinema 60 vs Denon X2800H(7 channel) and the Marantz Cinema 50 vs Denon X3800H(9 channel). I chose the Marantz because I appreciate the better build quality and looks. My receiver is visible so Marantz has better tuning gear. I was able to test them in store and they both performed equally well. You will not go wrong with either. In my opinion, the Denon X3800H(9 channel) or the X2800H(7 channel) will work just as well for gaming at 4K 120Hz, movies, and are substantially cheaper. But, if you have the budget, I would splurge.

Quality is evident. Setup is the easiest I have seen in receivers. I like the direct and pure direct modes where it automatically uses the speakers according to the input: if input is stereo, it will sound through stereo main speakers (L, R), if 5.1, it will use accordingly. Very clean sound. I'm using this with Martin Logan 5.1 setup: 2 Motion 15, 1 Motion 30, 2 FX, 1 Dynamo 700w.

This is a high quality great sounding receiver. I recently bought the Cinema 40 for my main house and wanted the same high quality for my condo and bought the Cinema 60. This has all of menu options to optimize it for your preferences.

Overall I love this unit. I debated between 4 and 5 stars because I've used competing units that had better clarity in the center channel. However the warmth of the Marantz CInema 60 has taken my new Revel speakers which I thought were harsh and turned them into the musical entities I knew they should be. I am amazed at what a brand of receive can bring to the table. Also, this works correctly right out of the box with no troubles. I returned an Anthem which I thought sounded a bit better but was beyond buggy. So I love the sound and I love the functionality. It's what I was hoping would happen.

I’m really impressed with this AVR. The setup was simple and comprehensive. Audyssey flawlessly calibrated my speakers and the resulting sound from music and streaming sources is nothing short of amazing. The picture quality from my 4K projector is even more perfect now.

This receiver is totally awesome. It actually sounds like you're in a movie theater. Playing music is also awesome. If you have the extra money I would highly recommend buying this receiver. The set up is really easy.

So far so good , everything is. Great sound , easy operation , like the looks , Satisfying so far , Big improvement over old Onkyo.!

I shelled out the extra for this one over a few other brands and I'm glad I did. It just seems so much smoother and the sound is just so much better. Highly recommend. This one has a great warranty, and I'm really happy.

I have 3 pairs of speakers and subwoofer. Pioneer CS-705, Polk Audio tower, and Cerwin-Vega book shelf speakers. They did not explain how difficult it would be to connect the internet, switch between speakers. You have to go into yur laptop settings. Then everytime you cut off yur laptop, you have to go into yur laptop speaker icon and select MARANTZ speakers....Now! Here's the kicker. You have to run the stereo thru yur TV w/Marantz remote. They don't tell you that. It took 3 weeks for my son to figure everything out/lol. In fairness I have blow out two Yamahas from Crutchfield, set one Denon on fire, gave a second to my wife. At this the Marantz seems able to produce the power needed without clipping or catching on fire.

Replaced an older Marantz receiver with the Cinema 60. It is really nice and the sound is awesome! Easy to reconnect and the self tuner is good. I have a home theater with 7 high end speakers and it sounds great. Highly recommend without reservations.

Pure Excellence when it comes to sound quality. I paired my Marantz Cinema 60 with MartinLogan 60XTi Tower speakers, 50XTi Center channel speaker & a SVS PB-1000 Pro subwoofer. All supported with an Emotiva XPA-5 Gen3 5 Amplifier. Easy Set-Up...always a plus!

This is my first Marantz A/V receiver which replaced my old Pioneer. I am very impressed with it especially connecting to my 20+ year old Vienna Accoustics 2 Front, 2 Surround and 1 Center with old REL Sub. Sounds superb and could not be happier. Best Buy audio team highly recommended this receiver especially I was concerned about using it with my old speakers. Best Buy member discount and Marantz 5 year warranty further clinched this deal !

Using this reciver with klipsch reference speakers on a 5.1 set up and the setup is easy the sound that comes out of the speakers sounds amazing.

Heard so much about this brand and finally pull the trigger to replace my old faithful Onkyo. Pair this with my new B&W 706 S3 and man, this doesn’t disappoint. B&W is kind of bright and Marantz warmer sound compliment each other perfectly. Music sounds fantastic and movies are also great on this. The cinema 50 is kind over kill for what I need so this fits the requirements and the bill. I’m no audiophile but to me this unit is a winner.

Really good receiver! A bit pricey but if your really into music & movies, ITS WORTH IT!!! Really clear audio!

Does a phenominal job. Currently bi-amped to Martin Logan Motion 60’s, motion center and 2 in ceiling 6.5” rears. UI looks great, illuminated remote is nice touch and easy to use.

Receiver is very eay to setup and adjust for your particular speaker setup. Has plenty of power to drive my Sonance ceiling speakers with clarity whether watching a movie or music.
