I bought this receiver NR1510 from Best Buy three years ago. Started acting crazy exactly 3 years after purchase and out of warranty. Sent to an authorized Marantz repair center and the motherboard was bad. New motherboard plus labor $604.00. If you buy it get an extended warranty. Otherwise sounded very good and liked the slim look.

This item and I are poorly matched. I wanted a regular stereo receiver. This is something else. It has to be setup either through a TV hook-up or by calling their support number. It has a low sensitivity tuner, no knobs for speaker balance or treble and bass knobs. Adjustments must be made with a complicated series of button pushing on the remote. The volume control is geared wrong; it requires many revolutions to adjust the volume.

You'll get less than a year of usage before it just starts falling apart. It makes it right to the warranty finish line and then just, bombs right out. Sound quality issues? Check! Constant loss of network connectivity? Check. It's so bad that it'll tell you that it can't connect to your network and has NO network connectivity, but still manages to download firmware. Go figure and go get something else.

Hello,
We're very sorry for the poor experience with the receiver. Please contact our Support team to troubleshoot these issues and see if the unit needs to be evaluated under warranty. The NR model you have should have a 3 year warranty as long as it was purchased as new and from an authorized dealer.
Thanks, Marantz North America

I was told Morantz was top of the line but they never said you had to be a techno genius to use. I am using with the brand-new series 6 8KTLC Roku .Tv. When I use the Roku channels I have to turn it up to a 70 or 80 to be able to listen decently if I use live TV a 20 or 30 works there’s absolutely no control it does not give you any easy way of setting up surround sound works until it doesn’t so for example watching TV live TV I can’t even use surroundsound because it only goes to the three front speakers if I use Apple TV I can’t use surroundsound with her music because it only goes to the two front speakers there’s absolutely no easy way of understanding the system and support sucks . Otherwise it’s a great system.

The Marantz NR1510 has many features that allow you to customize your output and enable your system for the optimal experience. The learning curve may vary, but I am confident you will be more comfortable with its functions soon. I want to recommend setting the Dynamic volume to Heavy. This may help with the volume changes. In addition, be sure to select surround sound in your Roku unit. If you require assistance configuring your receiver for maximum performance capability, please do not hesitate to reach out. https://support.marantz.com/
