This game is fun for all. Our 12 and 7 year old can play without argument, and that is rare these days...ha We love how you can pick your user and customize your car/motorcycle. Also, they have many tracks and battle worlds so you could play this game for hours.

This edition of Mario Kart is amazing! From the graphics all the way down to audio and the controls. Everything feels like an upgrade from the Wii U version. Online play is smooth and local multiplayer is great! Really brings back the days of local couch play. A neat feature is being able to play online against people with friends locally, so multiple people in the same room can compete against people online, with one console. All of the DLC from the Wii U version is included in this this version for free as a part of the base game. Splatoon tracks and characters are unlocked from the start, and Amiibo support has been increased for more unlockable outfits. All in all, this is a must have for the Nintendo Switch! Really great gaming experience. Smooth as butter, great music, fun sound effects, very immersive. We've come a long way from Kart 64. I haven't really played much video games since the N64 (skipped both the Wii and WiiU, so I kinda feel like an old man jumping back into the World of Nintendo). It's made me feel like a kid again, and with how much stress I've been under these last few years with my health... that's a pretty big deal to me. Thank you, Nintendo.

I’m a fan of Mario and I love the Mario Kart Series, so of course I enjoy this game. This isn’t my favorite MK game of the series, but it’s still a great game. If you enjoy the MK series, pick this one up if you haven’t yet. This is also a port from the Wii U version. If you played the Wii U version, you probably wouldn’t want this one, but it’s completely up to the person. If you never owned a Wii U, or this game (like myself) and you really want to play this on your Switch, pick it up. It’s a fun game, especially if you’re playing with friends and family.

Hands down one of the best Mario Kart games I've ever played and I've been playing them since the SNES and N64 generations when I was a kid. It's great both for old school fans like myself and even new ones as well. Hours of endless entertainment be it racing by yourself or even challenging friends and family. It's an excellent addition to your Switch library of games.

Bought the system for a relative for Christmas and she loves it. I like the portability of the system as she can now play on the road. I thought the controllers were a little small and will have a small adjustment period. The only real downside (and it's a REAL downside) is that the games are not backwards compatible, so you won't be able to use games from previous Nintendo systems and have to buy all new games (pretty expensive).

Pros: The new 1080p picture had me impressed being my first game I tested, compared to my previous 720 unconverted via hdmi adapter for the Wii. It’s a major jump as I skipped the Wii U console. Although I feel it should be caught up with the times & be in the 4K field by now. Game is plenty fun. Like the new features for example “Drift“ mode. I never figured out how to or control it for the Wii & love doing it for this one as the sparks changes colors depending on your execution. Cons: Wish it came with a digital copy like movies do so that I can bounce between games without switching them out physically. My other major complain is that I can’t play online with friends or other users free at charge like it use to be on the Wii.

I’ve been playing Mario Kart games since the original on Super Nintendo and theyve always been fun. This one brings on a ton of new content, and brings back a ton of your favorites from over the years! Old courses will certainly hit the nostalgia chord. Just non stop Mario Kart fun as it’s always been - but this one has had constant support from Nintendo, so you’ll never run out of tracks to play. I had this one on Wii U and finally grabbed it for Switch at a great price during the holiday shopping as a gift to myself. Well worth it for any fan or those new to MK. Just buy it, there will be no regrets (or is it “NO RAGRETS” haha)

Always was hesitant to buy this game and after 4-5 years I regret it, I should have bought this game a long time again! This is actually a great game especially entering in 2022! This is game is a must buy for all switch owners!

The Nintendo switch has a lot going right for it, and the addition of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to its library makes sure that it stays that way for awhile. This is by far one of the best ( if not the best) Mario kart game ever. From its truly smooth 60fps gameplay and graphics, to the long awaited return of battle mode. If you have a switch you pretty much have to pick this up even if you played vanilla Mario kart 8 on the wiiu. Oh, not to mention double items, 200cc, amiibo support for mii outfits, and a gold Mario unlockable. There are plenty of ways to enjoy this game. 3...2...1...go buy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

I bought this game for my girlfriend for Christmas to go with her switch and let me tell you, we’ve been playing it nonstop. I said it’s for her but I’m enjoying it just as much, if not more. The ultimate mix of nostalgia from childhood games and the thrill of racing. You really can’t go wrong with this one.

Let me start off by saying if you already own Mario KArt 8 on the Wii U, This game may not be worth $60 to you. There are a few differences like: New and improved battle mode Steering assist and auto accelerate Kart have been revamped so they do not have the same specs. A few new characters like the Inklings and King Boo Visuals upgraded to 1080p on the tv If this is going to be your first experience with Mario Kart 8, then I can't recommend it enough. This is absolutely the definitive edition, and with the mobility added in, you can't lose.

Ive benn playing mario kart since Nintendo64 its what i play when i stream its ehat i play when i fly across the country. Its such a classic and you cant go wrong with it.
