    I was expecting the next Mario Kart to just be more of the same after the excellent Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. But this is so much more. It adds a lot of stuff that's never been in Mario Kart before, and the courses are much more dynamic. The price is high, but depending on what they add to it later, it will probably be more worth it.

    I honestly prefer Mariokart 8 Deluxe. Honestly. The anti-gravity mechanic is cooler than the grind mechanic. The tracks are fine. I will say that it is still Mariokart. If you've enjoyed past games in the series, you will enjoy this one. Just lower on the all-time list for me amidst an all-time series.
