Kids get mad when I beat them at this game. They don’t understand the skills I have accumulated because I have been playing Mario Tennis since Nintendo 64 and gameboy color

    Cheesy but Really Run

The premise of this game is incredibly cheesy. Everyone just happens to want to battle you by playing tennis. It doesn't necessarily sound appealing on the surface, but when you get to playing, you can't hardly put it down. The game has alot of unique aspects, such as being able to slow down time to get to a ball and external factors such as posts and creatures interrupting game play. It requires alot of strategy and picking up on patterns. I love it. My kids love it. I've only played adventure mode, but I'm sure multi-player is good as well. I find this to be much more fun and dynamic than the "old school" Wii tennis.

It seems a little too expensive for what it is. Not too much replay ability for single player, and there are some areas where it could be improved: choosing courts, game/set/tournament length, etc. Should not be $60

    Return to Greatness

Never played Ultra Smash for Wii U but general consensus was that it was very underwhelming. For Mario’s first Switch sports outing the game brings new mechanics as well as a return to a class game modes. The adventure mode is more of a extreme tutorial and it excels at going through all the things you can do. This plays like a fighting game with a Super meter, special moves, and finisher moves that can shatter your racket. If all that is too much there is a Swing Mode that is a throwback to Wii Sports Tennis where you swing the Joy-Con to swing the racket. It takes a little practice but it’s good casual fun.

Cool gameplay but the game lacks visual creativity and lacked a good amount of content at launch.

This game surprised me. It is fun and feels like a real tennis match. After a few hours I was done. I was hoping for a better selection of tennis players. Besides the price, it's a fun game.

I loved the story mode. It felt a little short but you can have endless fun with friends playing doubles or singles. Definitely, one to get for parties or get-togethers.

Super fun game. Normally you think if Mario Kart and Smash Bros as the must-have multiplayer games but this one is like a hidden gem.

I would highly recommend if you have a switch. It is a little hard to get used to (we have the racket attachment) but once you get a few swings in, it is really fun!

Fun on many levels an worth the buy. I will say it gets unnecessarily difficult on just the intermediate levels of tournament play. Also, Mario games are great for kids but this one has some challenges for kids.

The game is fun, but I was hoping for a tennis game similar to Wii tennis that had the Mario World flare. This game does have the option to swing the Joycon controller, but it's not the same. Still fun though.

The tennis elements themselves are good, but the adventure mode is difficult and frustrating. Its a darn shame that you have to finish the adventure mode to unlock all of the courts. I just wanted to play tennis..

This game is fun and has decent online play. I just wish they would patch in match options like selecting match limits allow you to play on the court of your choosing. Overall though, it's a fun Mario Tennis game.

This game is fun, but only for a week. It is easy to master and pretty repetitive. Once the story is beaten it's hard to find a reason to pick the game back up.

Out the gate, Mario Tennis is fun to play, especially with friends and family. I recommend going straight into "Swing Mode". It's a blast when playing with others.
