Don't believe the hate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A lot of people have been bashing Mario Tennis Aces for its lack of what some consider to be "must have" features and lackluster online play. I've personally never stopped and thought "I wish I could do this, this, or this" on it and online play has been smooth aside from a couple of games. It's certainly not been the norm in my experience to have so much lag you can't play. When you get down to it there's a really deep system of trick shots that make gameplay exciting. There's also a bare bones mode if you want a more classic tennis match. I've had fun in solo mode and playing others locally and online.

Fun but obviously not a real tennis sim
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like it for what it is with it’s wacky over the top interpretation of the game of tennis. But there are better tennis games out there. If you like Mario, this is still a fun game to play with friends.

A fun tennis game with a twist
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great tennis game and has a good challenge in single player. You can play standard tennis or try all the crazy moves in other modes. They nerfed Bowser Jr., so the game is a lot more fun online now.

Mario and tennis
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can go all the way back to tennis on the Gameboy. Nintendo makes fun tennis games and this is one that the whole family can enjoy. Easy to play, tough to master

Surprisingly fun & challenging; repetitive over ti
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son is in an all-Mario, all-the-time phase, so this game was a must-have. That said, I was surprised at how rich the gameplay mechanics were and found the boss "matches" (which are more akin to puzzles) to be both challenging and an interesting spin on the traditional paradigm of player vs. CPU tennis games. My only criticism of the game is that, after about 10-15 hours, it began to feel quite repetitive, even with the variety of shot types, characters, and gameplay options available. In fairness, for as simple of a game as tennis is, I feel Nintendo did a great job of trying to create fresh experiences for the user. Still, there's only so many ways to hit a ball from one side of the screen to the other.

Wii Tennis 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, all I've done is play the Wii Tennis mode in this game. I don't care at all about the story and multiplayer or any of it. Just give me more Wii Tennis.

Good but...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright. The gameplay and story are extremely entertaining. The story is very self-aware at how ridiculous it is and that’s a nice touch. However, the story/adventure mode is so frustratingly difficult that it makes you want to rage quit. I felt the same way about Smash Ultimates adventure mode. For some reason Nintendo keeps making these otherwise exclusively multiplayer focused games, with these brutally difficult adventure modes and I’m just not sure what sense it makes. A casual player could likely not finish this. You shouldn’t be able to finish a game like Breath of The Wild with ease compared to this. Other than that, great game. Guess I should just gEt GuD.

Fun Classic Mario Tennis Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is easy to pick up and play, have a good time with your friends and family, but when it comes to online, has a high skill ceiling. The controls are easy to learn, but you will need to put in the time to learn how to master them. But this game is a tight, fast-paced, well polished Mario Tennis game, and it has regular updates to online and addition of more characters! The single player story is okay, but local and online multiplayer is where the game shines. If you love tennis and/or grew up with the classic Mario Tennis 64, then you will enjoy this one. Just expect people to kick your butt online in the beginning. My advice: stay with it, and watch how the better player plays.

Good.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad game. A lot of people complain about there being a lack of a real campaign, but I bought it to play PvP. So, those concerns didn’t really apply to me.
