Really what you'd expect. The characters and story are nice but at the end of the day they're playing tennis over and over again.

Got it as a gift for my nephews and really enjoyed the game so got a copy for myself as well

Online works pretty good, tennis gameplay is solid, good roster of characters and a really fun story mode.

Do your homework if you are looking for a good tennis game for your switch. This game is good, but could be much better as a tennis game. As a Nintendo game, this is great for kids and family play. The interaction is not motion-based by default; you will use buttons most of the time. However, you can select certain games to use for motion-based play. This is a minor complaint, but worth paying attention to if you are looking for the old Wii type of interactivity.

Mario Tennis Aces is currently our game of choice for family gaming. Controls are simple yet satisfying and matches can be intense. It's fun to try all of the different characters as they each have their own style of play and power shots. Graphics are great with bright colors and realistic textures. We haven't had the opportunity to try the story mode because every time you turn on the game everyone wants to play.

Great game for party and family. It's arcade but the controls are too complicated for people not interested in tennis though.
