This game lacks depth in single player mode but is fun when playing with a friend.

Love Mario type games! Great multiplayer options and even one player story mode. Can get a bit repetitive but still a challenge with all of the different mini games! Using the joy cons separately as the rackets can take some getting used to especially since you have the time the swing right. Overall still fun, great party game with friends & family and perfect for on the go one player mode!

More realistic than Wii Tennis but not as fun

I guess I was expecting with more advanced technology to be able to play similar to how Wii Tennis worked, but unfortunately I have not figured out if it's not possible or I have not found the right mode. It brings tears from the 4 year old who doesn't like to lose, and seems fun otherwise to all other family members.

Gets repetitive after a while, but what else do you expect from tennis?? The power shot feature with each character keeps things interesting, just wish there was a power shot return feature for the other player to counter balance some of the shots. As all power shots are almost an instant point. Adventure mode is boring, this game is best played online or head to head. Single mode stinks

As a huge fan of Mario tennis games, I was very excited for this game, and overall it's a lot of fun, but I can't say I'm a huge fan of some of the new features, I prefer a more stripped-down experience, which is available but oddly not with a full match option...but still a great game if you enjoy Mario sports games!

Basically, I own a Switch for a few games, all meant to be played with multiple friends after a night out. They include Mario Party, Mario Kart and now Mario Tennis. You will have fun if you play with multiple friends. The only downside is paying Nintendo for all their expensive controllers! Those jerks... lol

We have a child who has nicely asked for this game for 3 Christmases now. BB ran a sale that made it worth getting so we grabbed it for underneath the tree this year. Since getting this game this is the only Switch game our child has played since Christmas!

Mario Tennis Aces is such a great family game! We play daily, especially with Covid-19, it has entertained us for long periods of time. Us parents enjoy the game just as much as our little boys ages 7 and under! We play in teams and also do adventures as single players. Love it!

I got this game for my son thinking he would be the only one playing it and to find out that its a great game for anyone at any age to pick up and play from a 9 year old boy all the way up to a 43 year old man. Never though it would be a game where me and my son would play together or getting beat by a.child also

Game is decent, while the timing for defending against the new mechanics is a bit difficult, it's rewarding as it let's you experiment more with your offense. It doesn't have the multitudes of power shots and saves from the Gameboy Advance iteration, but it's still central to the game. If you didn't enjoy the older games you most likely won't enjoy this one either.

I played Mario Tennis since GameCube. Playing doubles with friends is just so much fun. It can get pretty competitive when things get heated up. Even when playing solo once you finish play the online tournaments it changes compare when you play again computers. I recommend this game for parties and hangouts.

Not the biggest tennis fan but Mario Tennis Aces makes it a whole lot of fun! The story is pretty plain Jane but the gameplay is awesome! Multiplayer is where it’s at. Playing against friends and family is addicting and very competitive.

My favorite tennis game in years

Best tennis game I've played in a while. I used to play a ton of tennis IRL so tennis games have always been fun to me. The old days of playing virtua tennis arcade (and the dreamcast port) were the golden years of tennis video games until I started playing Mario Tennis Aces. This game is so much fun to play. It's definitely not a simulator but that's part of the fun. The special shots feel so powerful and there is a lot of variety between characters that keeps the game from getting stale. Adventure mode is cleverly done, beating tennis based trials/challenges as well as playing against enemies to unravel the story and gain access to new areas. I think tennis fans and mario fans both can enjoy this game, as usual with Nintendo it runs great and is very polished both in mobile mode and on the dock.

Mario Tennis Aces for the Nintendo Switch is just an enjoyable experience for all those involved. Whether you play through the story mode that constantly engages and challenges the player, or you are locked into intense competition with friends, family or those far away, this game is just pure fun.

Incredibly fun to play with friends or family with a fair amount of game modes, great graphics and music, BUT the motion sensor gameplay (like in wii sports), is limited to swing mode, meaning story mode or online cannot be played with the motion sensors. On the bright side swing mode can be played with up to 4 players while the switch is docked.

Really Enjoyed this game, its a little complicated to play online and definitely the adventure mode is very good but its better if you find someone to play it with all the time, is more challenging.

Game play mechanics are great and the story mode is fun but at the end of the day I feel this game doesn't like up to the 60 dollar pricetag. I will admit that I am not a huge sports fan but I have always enjoyed the mario strikers and baseball games. Just not crazy about the tennis ones.
