Best Mario Tennis in a decade

A phenomenally fun Mario Tennis. The single player could be more intriguing, though I am glad it exists even if some challenges are trial and error. As always, the games best with a friend. I’d also be excited to see the roster exactly and like Mario Kart and include orher Nintendo universes! But that would just be a bonus to a great game.

    Met my expectations

After playing this game for several hours over the last few days, I can say that this game is very fun and has proven to be worth the initial purchase price. For everyone, the worth of the game will be different in terms of what one hopes to get out of it. I actually played this game in a party-type setting with friends, and that is where this game shines the most. All of us were pretty unimpressed with story mode. One of my friends, who also owns this game, said that the gaming press was inaccurately reflecting the difficulty of some sections (according to him it's easy as pie), while another friend found the whole story mode/gameplay in general to be frustratingly hard. I find myself falling right in the middle, with a little leniency toward the difficulty not being something insurmountable. We found that when we focused on just playing against one another, that was where most of our time went. We had an absolute blast when playing against other people in the room and against people online.

    An interesting take on tennis

This game is a lot of fun. The story mode is pretty funny in how they tie in tennis and there are ancient temples you have to unlock by playing matches. I think it recognizes that it is a little bit on the absurd in that way, but is still the classic mario tennis experience.

If you love tennis, and if you love Mario, this is the game for you! There are super fun trick shots, and playing against the computer and others via the web of both equally entertaining!

The game has a simple single player campaign that teaches you the basics and is cute and fun yet challenging at times. The greatness of the game though comes from the split screen or online multiplayer. Absolutely bananas trying to beat more than three people online but so much fun to go toe to toe with your friends! Would definitely recommend

While seeming simple on the exterior, Mario Tennis is actually a game of great depth. A deep tennis system of risk/reward leads to some very intense and fun matches. Don’t worry, there’s also free swing mode mode where you use the controller like racket and swing as well that is a total blast and great for parties. Really love this game.

    Great Mechanics, but lacking depth

At its core this game is great. The mechanics of actually playing tennis are incredibly fun. Unfortunatley the single player and multi player lack depth. I really wish there was more to this game like an actual single player career mode. Overall its fun, but wears off fast.

I bought this for Christmas as a last minute gift. We walked into GameStop and my kids started playing it and asked for it. I am glad I did. They love this game and laugh so hard playing this. No fighting either. HA! They also play random people on the nintendo network.

I rented Mario tennis from red box once I heard it was available. Ended up playing with my step kid for almost 3 hours straight lol. So we ended up buying it. The team doubles was fun and theres a good amount of settings to adjust any kind of skill/play style that'll fit you.

This was a birthday gift for my son and was a big hit. He and his brother have been playing Mario Brothers games since their debut, and this one did not disappoint either of them.

Mario Tennis Aces is one of the funnest and best sports game of 2018. Can be a great casual game that can be turned up into a competitive storm depending on when you play online. Would recommend waiting for a sale if you're not sure you would be into a game like this.

Fun game but gets a little repetitive. I still love tennis and currently trying to get the hang of the motion system - doesn’t seem that good. The game is not that long so it becomes more of a play “play to Pass time” rather than a play to beat and crush

My son and I love this game. This game is great to play story mode alone and to play with others. We have other kids over to play with us and it's really fun learning all the tricks you can do with each character.

Mario Tennis aces is a great all-around game to play with family and friends and satisfies the desire to relax and game. However, it should be notes that you can get very competitive with this one! Worth playing and a fine addition to the Mario sports games.

Leave it to Nintendo to create a tennis game that can make you want to shove a controller through a wall thanks to its at times absurdly hard single player game and overly complicated controls. Still, Mario Tennis is undeniably Nintendo and a ton of fun for both singles and multiplayers once you get into the swing of it.

Great for car rides or plane and train travel where you want to play something fun, kill some time, but can't be too invested or have unlimited time to play.

I like to play my action-adventure games and RPGs. This game is not that. I needed a game to play when we have friends over. Like Mario Kart, this game is fun for casual play, beginners and it can even get competitive.
