First off, if you are looking at a turbtable in this price range, you are serious about vinyl. To get the most out of a turntable of this caliber, youll need excellent equipment. I'm dealing with B&W 802D2 diamond speakers, a Rotel RMB 1585 amp, and a Marantz AV 7202 MKii preamp. This turntable is super easy to set up. Any beginner can set it up if you buy it woth the cartridge factory installed. However, if uou do that please be aware its a moving coil cartridge and you will need to buy a phono stage for it. The back has RCA connections so it is really plug and play. Not like others that have more complex connections. It also has a bubble level built in so you can see that its level when you install it. It also has a record clamp to make sure all records are very flat during playback. The motor is separated from the platter and uses a belt thats super easy tonwrap around the platter and motor to start playback. Also, this thing is deceptively heavy. It weighs abkut 75 or 85 pounds all in. This is important because it will be less susceptible to vinrations caused from the speakers when you are jamming out. If you are considering this and you have other equipment thaf can help get the most out of it, go for it! The only reason I took a star off for value was that it is expensive, but I do not regret it at all. Its a show piece turntable for sure.
