Great pair if you like the airpods style bud

I always listening to music and I love different types of earbuds/headphones. I got the opportunity to try these out for a review so I figured why now. I have headphones that block out noise mostly and could use a pair of buds that are open for safety reasons. I didn't have any issue with airpods so I figured these would be the same. Inside the box you get the case, the earbuds, manuals and a USB type A to USB type C cable. Features: USB Type C charging Wireless charging 25 hours of battery life Wireless charging case Bluetooth 5.2 If you have an Android device these will quick pair similar to how airpods do with iOS devices no need to go into settings and go into Bluetooth settings at all. On ios you'll have to do that unfortunately. These also have Apt X compatibility so they use a better codec then SBS which will help with latency and sound quality as well if you use this with a device that supports Apt X as well. These are those air pod style buds so they are open and allow sound in front the outside world and some people don't mind it or prefer it. I like it on buses sometimes if I need to know what stop I need to get off at. As far as sound goes they sound great like other Marshall products. Detailed and not that bass heavy. My only quip about these is they aren't comfortable to wear but that's because it is one size fits all and for some reason they don't fit my ears like airpods did.

In my experience I consider these a pretty solid option for light usage like traveling or listening to music, due to the shape and design they may not work for everyone as a work-out earbud. They are a little larger than the standard non pro airpod and dont have any rubber ear tips to adjust the fit. They are a fairly nice textured plastic, so they do have some natural adhesion once placed in your ears. The overall feel of the ear buds and case are OK, not the most premium product but offer reasonable performance for those interested in this style ear bud. Performance wise they sound perfectly fine using something like Spotify to stream with. They have decent bass for the size of earbud they are, mids and highs are pretty clean without being overbearing. Advertised battery life seems to be in the right ball park with around 4hrs use time before needing a recharge in the case. They do offer a quick charge function that gives you another hour worth of use in only 15min of charge time. These use bluetooth 5.2, connection to my Pixel 6 pro was consistently good and they worked with with a iphone 12 mini as well. Marshall does have an app that you can use with these, but it leaves a lot to be desired. Luckily you aren't forced to use the app, you can pair these as you would any bluetooth device and bypass that mess. Of course without the app there is no equalizer adjustments or other options available to you. All the basic touch controls work regardless of the app being installed or not, and were generally responsive enough to not be a nuisance. Marshall isn't really a name synonymous with headphones to me, my last experience with the brand was during high school jam sessions with the boys. These seem to represent the brand that I remember fairly well, no major complaints and a good addition to my headphone/earbud arsenal in that mid range category.

I've got to say that the Marshall Minor III earbuds are something to look at and will catch an eye or two. They're almost like a fashion accessory. They paired quickly with my phone. And they have touch controls on the side that were a little sensitive from my liking, but they work. They have a great playing time and long charge life of around 24- 25 hours on the case, which is good when you're always on the go. About a 15-minute quick charge gives you about an hour and a half of playtime. Not to mention the wireless charging function, which adds a new level of convenience. My drawback, though, was the sound quality. It was nice and clear but not loud enough. The sound quality was crisp and very clear but not very loud, and with no active noise canceling when you're outside, it made it hard to hear your music. I also had trouble with the staying in my ear. It might just be me, but I had to look around for a dropped bud more than once since using them. I love the Marshall line of products, but this one missed the mark for me.

Purchased these headphones thinking they would be great AirPod alternatives. Audio & bass was not what was expected from a Marshall brand type speaker. Volume was really low on music & calls & made it hard to hear the other person on line. Microphone also picked up alot of exterior noise while on a call. The touch sensitive earbuds would always hang up the call or pause the song while adjusting the earbud. Only good thing about these earbuds were the design & color including case. Would not recommend.

It has become hard to choose and review headsets the last couple of years. So many look the same, are in the same price and made by reputable companies. However, you start to pick up on the little things and it quickly becomes evident that there are start differences. This holds true of the Marshall Minor III True Wireless Headphones - looks great at first but then the differences really start to show as you use them. Fit – The Minor III Headphones are an open earbud design that rests in the ear canals. It’s obvious to me that there is an attempt to look like the Apple Airpod design but they miss the mark a bit. They are very light, but they do not stay in place in my ears. Any minor vigorous movement, they fall out of place. No matter what I did , they ended up losing their fit. Rating 2 out of 5. Construction and build quality – I’ve read a few negative reviews on the construction materials, but I like they way it is made. Metal accent edges, high impact well finished plastic, water resistant. The case has a textured plastic that feels tough. The Minor III are water resistant. It feels like a Marshall product should. Rating 4 out of 5 Battery and charging – Rated at 25 hours counting the battery in the case, 5 hours on the earbuds themselves. I got a bit less than the 5 hours with regular use. On paper, that is less than average. In practical application, I do not think it matters much since you store the earbuds in the cast. You can charge the Minor II with via USB or wireless charging. The wireless charging worked flawlessly and is a pleasant surprise . Rating 3 out of 5. Controls– Well, not a lot of controls. It is basically, pair and go. The Minor III are not compatible with the Marshall Bluetooth app so there are no adjustments to sound. All the rest of the controls are touch based, there are no physical buttons. I found the touch only controls to be a bit oversensitive and cause unwanted actions when I adjusted the fit of the earbuds. Rating 2 out of 5. Sound – Keep in mind that the fit has a lot to do with how well the Minor III sounds. If you have get a good fit, the sound is excellent throughout most of the ranges. I would not expect great bass on any earbud headphone but the rest of the range sounded very good. The most important thing about sound from any headset is the clarity and I found the Minor III to be spot on. Voice and call quality was excellent. The Minor III does fall short in noisier environments since the headset has no noise cancellation. Rating 3 out of 5. In conclusion, the Marshall Minor III True Wireless Headphones does fall short in a few areas. I love the look of them and you can tell the earbuds are quality. However, the fit for my ears just does not work, there is not fine tuning of sound and the controls are a bit too sensitive for my liking. It is still a solid headset that has a great name behind it.

Good headphones if you don't want the in ear style

I wanted a pair of true wireless headphones that don't push into the ear canal. These are a good option especially if you don't want to go the way of the fruit. These earbuds come delivered in a nice box and are in a very nice textured charging case. It's nice to not has a perfectly smooth shiny case as it's easier to handle but still looks very nice. The case has a USB-C charging port at the bottom and is easy to keep track of battery life with the bright LED that flashes it's status using colors when you open the case or push the button on the bottom. The earbuds themselves are nicely designed with a textured lower section that is easy to hold but doesn't irritate the ear. The sound is great and the battery life seems to be right where they advertise it will be. Since these don't extend into your ear you still can hear everything around you. I had no problems having conversations with these in by pausing the music, my other into ear earbuds have sound passthrough that has to be turned on to have a conversation clearly. I also really like the fact you can use either earbud independently or together in stereo. There are many times I listen to music all day while working outside but only want one in. I could use one side until the battery got low then let that one charge while I used the other side. Phone calls were clear and crisp. The only problem I ran across was listening to voicemails the volume was very low, but I can't rule out that was something to do with my phone and not caused by these earbuds. My only problem with these is the controls. They let you touch above the M on each earbud either 1, 2 or 3 times to do different controls. I found these taps to be somewhat difficult to time and something you have to learn to do. I initially would hit the control a lot while putting the earbuds in my ears. This is something I'm going to have to learn to hold the earbuds a different way so I don't trigger the touch. The other problem is hitting it several times skips the track but it's didn't always recognize me hitting it multiple times and would just register me tapping it once which pause/plays. It can be frustrating and something I hope they an smooth out. It would also be nice to have some volume control built into the taps. I could not find any volume control through these earbuds, you had to go to the phone to turn up or down. Overall I found these earbuds a nice option if you don't want the into ear style. I would recommend them if you can live with the little tradeoffs mentioned above.

Hello Ejaybee, thanks for your review and feedback. It may be the fit of the earbuds that is affecting the loudness: the Minor III are 'open-fit' earbuds which doesn't create a seal in your ear and affects how you will hear the sound. We suggest trying the Motif ANC: with the 3 different sized eartips for the earbuds, you will be able to find the perfect fit and create a seal in your ear which will lead to a louder, more isolated sound experience.

The Marshall Minor III earbuds are stylish, differentiating themselves from the rest with a textured material on the stems and the charging case. They also offer great sound quality, but that is highly dependent on how well they fit in your ear. They offer an open-fit design, so they do not come with different size ear tips. The charging case is bigger than my Samsung Galaxy Pro wireless earbuds but similar in shape and size to the Apple Airpods, except that these are black with a nice shiny golden tip and signature “M”. Sound quality is good for everyday indoor use, crisp highs, clear mids and just enough bass. Unfortunately there is no App at this time, so there is no fine tuning equalizer or remapping the touch controls. There is no Active Noise Canceling and because there are no silicone tips to fill your ear canal, there could be a good amount of ambient sound coming through. I find myself having to push them in my ears once in a while to get fuller sound and more bass. The touch controls are intuitive, though a bit too sensitive. They are your typical 1 tap to play/pause, 2 taps to skip to the next track and 3 taps to go to the previous track. Bluetooth 5.2 connection was very easy to my Samsung Galaxy smartphone, didn't require a pin and has decent range away from my phone or laptop. You just press and hold the pairing button on the bottom of the case and accept the connection on your phone. These are definitely more Android or Windows friendly as they not only support SBC but also the better AptX CODEC that iPhones don’t, but they will work w/iPhones just as well, though they do not support AAC for iPhones. You can charge them wirelessly or with the very short USB-C cable they came with. That was probably intended to be charged from your laptop or on the floor or hanging from a wall plug, since the cable is only a few inches long. Overall they look and sound pretty good for the price, so if you know and love the brand for their audio heritage these are worth a try.

These are pretty cool headphones. I will break my review up into pros and cons. Pros The pairing process was straightforward with no issues. Open the case and you will receive a pairing request on your phone. The way it should be. They look like a pair of black Air Pods at first glance, this might be a pro or a con depending on how you feel about the big fruit. Ha ha. The case feels tough and well-built and the textured shell adds an extra touch of coolness. The case also supports wireless charging, which is a big plus. I'm happy the case is also charged via USB-C because I'm tired of digging out old micro USB cables to charge stuff these days. I like that the touch controls are the same for each ear. It makes things much more simple. I use different pair of earbuds for working out so sometimes I mix up the controls. Cons I wish there was an app that came with it. It's always nice to be able to fine tune and configure everything to the way you want it. I also like to reference the app to see what the controls are (it's easy to lose track when you use multiple earbuds). I can't tell the remaining battery life of the earbuds unless I look at my phone and I can't tell for the case at all. At this price there should be some kind of noise cancelling, but there isn't.

These earbuds have many good points and a few not so good points, they are as follows: Good: They pair easily to my phone, as soon as I pulled them out of the case my phone had a pop up that asked me if I wanted to pair them to it. Sound is well balanced, not to tinny or excess bass. Using for phone conversations is very clear although you can hear some wind noise on breezy days. Whether is use them for music or audiobooks they are very clear. Fairly comfortable and stay in the ear well (see not so good as well) Case has some texture to it so you don't feel like you are going to drop them. Charging is by USB and seems very fast. Battery life is acceptable for this type of earbud Not so good: There are no different earcups for different sizes. Everything must be controlled by your phone, there is no provision for muting a call or changing tracks except by the device they are paired with. No way to know how much battery is left either in the case or the earbuds. I little pricey for what they are although I have had more expensive models that I would rate worse. Overall I feel they are a good product that seem to be well built and I am hoping to get long life out of them.
