This is my review of the Marshall Minor III True Wireless Earbuds. First of all the packaging is well done. It is designed to slip open from the bottom to give a different opening experience. Inside is a cool-looking Marshall box that is like a Marshall amp and has the same feel in the hand with a leather-like surface. And it is lettered like their amps are as well, with a decent weight to the case.
These earbuds do have a quality look to them. The only thing that seems cheap to me is the charging cable. The cable that is provided is a total of 3 inches long. So when charging, you will either have it dangling in the air or you can balance it on top of the wall wort itself. Either way, it stinks, but you can use a longer cable if you have one.
Once I removed the earbuds from the case, I was pleasantly surprised by the metal casing and the knurled posts. These don't feel bad against the skin and feel like good solid performers. I put them on and pressed play.
This is where the Marshall Minor III really shines, in my opinion. The bass is right there, punchy and direct. This is great for a small Earbud. Then the mid-range, the Marshall Minor III seems to have a nice even toned mid. Nothing seems too elevated or backed off. From my listening experience, they seem to be even-toned. This leads us to the highs, I found the highs to be a little crisp. This is common on small speakers and earbuds. However, it's not oversaturated or harsh at all.
For most folks looking for earbuds, the sound quality will be more than you'd expect in this price range. For me, the sound of these earbuds from Marshall is absolutely great!!
For me as far as the overall function of the Marshall Minor III is simple and straightforward as well as the instructions. Just the way I like it. Just a tap on the side of these earbuds pauses and continues to play from your favorite device. Also, the earbuds have a cool little feature where if you pull one from your ear, whatever you are listening to pauses automatically. Then, upon reinsertion, they begin playing again without having to reopen your device and press play again.
Overall for me, the Marshall Minor III is a good sounding, nice feeling pair of earbuds that are worth what I paid and more. Battery life for me has been very good, and I would recommend these earbuds to friends. The balanced sound quality of the Marshall Minor III is above par for normal earbuds. That's why they have Marshall's name on them!

Better known for amplifiers

I was excited to open up my Marshall Minor III wireless earbuds, after-all, they're Marshall, right? The best known name in amplifiers has earbuds - they've got to be great! Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped I would be.
The case looks good and is definitely reminiscent of Marshall amplifiers. A full charge - with the included USB cord - can last up to 25 hours, but your mileage may vary. They also offer 90-minutes of play with a quick 15-minute charge. They paired easily with my I-Phone 12, by simply pressing the button on the bottom of the "amp" and searching for the device on my phone. There are no apps to download so it's real easy.
I know all earbuds fit differently, but these just don't stay in my ears and always felt like they were going to fall out. I'd reach up to push them in a little further and inevitably pause the music. One tap is for pause/play, 2 taps to skip forward, and 3 taps plays the previous track. Unfortunately, there is no volume control so if you start out to quiet (or too loud) you have to retrieve your source to adjust the sound.
The sound was good - crisp and clear, however, I would have preferred a little more bass. The sound improved when I pressed them further into the ear but be careful or you'll pause the music!
I can't imagine these staying in your ears during a workout as I felt like they were going to fall out while I was mowing the lawn.
I've tried several "ear buds" but unfortunately, these just aren't my favorite. Maybe if they offered extra "tips" in the package, it would improve the fit and I'd enjoy them more.
They look cool and the packaging is great though!

Hi Michael, thanks for your review and feedback. The open fit does take a bit to get used to for some users, if you prefer eartips, check out the Motif A.N.C.. The Minor III do offer some water resistance, however, they are best suited to low intensity activities due to their open fit.

The first thing you notice about these earbuds is the iconic Marshall lettering and textured case. It looks sharp and the textured outside feels great while holding them, not slippery like it wall fall out of your hand. When puling out your earbus you will notice it takes a little force because the magnet inside hold the buds securely in place while in the case. Even if your case were to open in transit, the earbuds will not fall out. The earbuds themselves look like a black version of Airpods which makes them unique. They have the same textured feel on the stems for a very stylish look. They fit in my ears perfectly. Even during light workout they stay seated in my ear. I'm sure if I were to do very vigorous exercise, 1 or both could slip out but I don't get that feeling from just normal walking, working or exercise.
Setup was easy. I just powered them on and they connected to my Bluetooth automatically. The sound that comes from these earbuds is amazing. If you have ever owned Marshall speakers you know the quality and sound will be top notch.
Charging is very simple. A USB-C cable is including and these Marshall Minor III also have the option for wireless charging. My first use was on a flight and with a couplie hours at the airport, 3 hour flight and listening time before bed the battery life never drained. There is no power meter on the case but under Minor III in my Bluetooth it said I still had 40% so I'm sure you could never completely drain these airbuds in 1 day even with constant use.
The touch commands are very simple on the Minor III. tap once to
play /pause, twice to skip to next song and 3x to go back to last song. There is no volume control on the earbud itself but if you pull one bud out of your ear the music will pause and you can have a conversation without music playing in your ears.
With the great style, amazing sound and ease of use these are definitely a keeper.

I'm not usually buying earphones/headphones just because I don't use them as much as I'd like but after seeing the compact and stylish design of the Marshall Minor III, I felt the need to give them a try.
What's in the Box
Marshall Minor III headphones
Charging case
USB-C cable
Setup
To setup the Marshall Minor III, make sure you leave them in their charging case and press and hold the button on the bottom next to the USB-C charging port. The light should turn and pulse blue. Once you see the blue light go to your device and pair the headset.
Sound Quality
I'm by no means an audiophile, however I do noticed that sound great compared to my other name brand wireless headset. The treble is clean and crisp. The bass is deep and low, I'm not 100% positive is there any further adjustment to make them even better but right out of the box they sounded great.
Function
The Minor III headphones are pretty limited on touch function with only, Play/Pause, Skip forward and skip backward. Then again who really needs more touch functions on your headphones. The connection pairing with each side and to the phone is great. I've had quite a few "true wireless" headphones/earbuds but these are the first that really haven't had any issues syncing to the left and right earbuds.
Conclusion
I'm really happy with the Marshall Minor III. I really like the compact size and most of all the sync with left and right buds. I would gladly recommend this to anyone that is looking for "true wireless" earbud/headsets.

Good Sound, Alternative to popular wireless buds

The Marshall branding here is an interesting one, as the premiere guitar amplifier brand. The sound on these is expected to be top notch, and these almost get there for me. Fit is similar to a suspiciously similar looking popular brand in white, with no changes/improvements over that style. These headphones are an interesting mix of features. The reported battery time of 25 hours includes some charging from the case in the battery, so you're really getting 4 hours + out of the headphones at a time. Wireless charging with the case is also a nice feature at this price point. Surprisingly no support for Apple AAC codec is an interesting omission, I expected these headphones to support that. The case itself packs ~5 charges for the headphones, but feels somewhat lightweight and doesn't match the construction of the headphones themselves. I would have loved to see some active noise cancelling here too, but that's not in the cards. Design wise these are unique and definitely fit with the style I expect from Marshall and are rocker-centric. This market segment is a little saturated and I recommend you do some research before purchasing.

For those not familiar with the Marshall name, they are extremely well-known for producing very high-quality studio & stage sound equipment. As such, it’s safe to assume that I had high expectations before even opening the package. Also, I will mention that the original unit I received was defective, but customer service resolved the problem quickly, and, within a week, I had a replacement. So, were my expectations met? Let’s find out.
UNBOXING, AND INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
Small packaging, no excessive use of internal packaging materials, and no danger to the environment…so far, so good. Upon removing the earbud charging case, I was immediately impressed, as the plastic charging case had a molded texture matching the texture of their amplifiers. Removing the earbuds from the charging case, they reminded me of black Apple AIrPods…only 1000% better-looking. Unlike that psychiatric-hospital white of the AirPods, the Minor III earbuds are a glorious black. Also, unlike the all-plastic AirPods, the lower portion of the Minor III earbuds are machined aluminum. I don’t want to call these “a work of art”…but, if I did, I wouldn’t be lying. So far, I’m quite impressed.
SETUP:
Setting up the earbuds with your device is as simple as setting the Bluetooth on the device you intend to pair with to ‘Scan’, opening the earbud’s charging case, and pressing/holding the button on the bottom of the case, until the tiny LED on the front of the case starts flashing blue. That’s it.
Although the earbuds are Bluetooth-LE compatible, whether (or not) you can utilize the ‘LE’ ability will depend on the device, as some devices will require an app…and, at this point in time, there is NO app. For example, my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 connected to the earbuds via LE (without any app), but my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus could only connect via regular Bluetooth (but, it CAN see the Minor III ‘LE’). I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing, as I don’t believe it affects the sound quality in any way (ie. only the batter life should be affected). Speaking of battery life, Marshall claims the earbuds have a 5hr battery life, and the charging case provides up to an additional 25hrs (for, what I’m assuming, is a total of up to 30hrs, which FAR exceeds any other earbud batteries).
SOUND QUALITY:
I am going to break this into two parts – one for watching movies, and listening to music; the other for phone calls. Also, before continuing…and, the reason for my delay in writing this review…I will note that the first unit was initially good, but, after several days, the left earbud developed ‘static’ anytime there was bass. The stronger the bass, the worse the ‘static’ was. However, since receiving a replacement, I have not had any bass ‘static’ problems. Ok…moving on……….
Starting with movies & music, the sound is fantastic. Although some might complain about the $130 price, based on the sound quality, some will easily believe these to be more expensive. Put another way, even at $130, they sound a LOT better than the price might lead you to believe. If I didn’t know the price, I could have easily mistaken these to be $200-250 earbuds. In watching a couple movies, and several episodes of three different Marvel series (via Disney+), the mids were super clear, the highs were nice & crisp, and the bass was “punchy”, but not artificially increased (as several other brands do). Switching to music, I tested them with several genres, from Rock & pop, to new age & classical; from jazz & blues, to hip hop & reggae; from celtic to country. And, in all genres, the Marshall Minor III earbuds produces excellent sound. Unfortunately, all is NOT roses.
Moving over to phone calls, this is where the Minor III really is “minor”…as fantastic as they are for movies & music, they are downright horrible for use on phone calls. When I tested the first pair (ie. the ‘defective’ set), and the person on the other end said it sounded like I was “under water”, I thought that, maybe, it was connected to the ‘static’ problem, thus I was hoping (maybe even expecting) the replacements to perform better…but, such is not the case. This is not to say I’d recommend avoiding using them on phone calls…allow me to explain. With the original set, I only tested phone calls while using both earbuds. However, with the replacement earbuds, I tested calls while using both, using only the left, and using only the right. When using both, the person on the other end said I sounded “distant”. When using only the right, the person said I sounded even more distant. Finally, switching to only the right, I was told that they sounded similar (albeit, without any background noise-cancelation when testing outside) to the Logitech headset I normally use for phone calls.
FINAL VERDICT:
If you want to use these for phone calls, I am NOT recommending them…but, if you MUST, then use ONLY the left. At the same time, if you plan to ONLY use them for music, movies, and other shows, I DEFINITELY recommend them. There are less expensive earbuds available, but they won’t sound as good as these. You could pay a lot more for others, but they probably won’t sound any better. Again, even though these cost $130, based on sound quality, and build quality, you could easily mistake them for earbuds costing considerably more. While I will continue to use my Logitech headset for phone calls, when it comes to watching movies/shows, as well as listening to music, and when I don’t want to use my much-higher-quality (and MUCH heavier) headphones, the Marshall Minor III is what I’ll be using. Besides, as a Professional Chauffeur, it’s a bit difficult to pack headphones…but, the charging case for the Minor III earbuds fits in my shirt pocket, with room to spare. Getting back to my “expectations”, as for whether, or not, they were ‘met’, the answer is “no”…they were ‘exceeded’.

Hello there Destiny. The Minor III offer a max of 25 hours of playtime: the earbuds hold 5 hours and the portable charging case carries four additional charges so you can slip the earbuds into the case for some extra power when needed.

I was excited to get these and try them out to see how they compared to my apple AirPods. Since these are (in appearances) AirPod clones. Out of the box, I put them on my magnetic charger and the light lit up so I knew it was working… after a few minutes of losing my patience, I had to try them out…. When you flip open the lid, they were ready to pair, I found them quickly in the Bluetooth menu of my phone and voila! Paired. Now every time I take them out of the case they instantly pair. I don’t need to fuss with power buttons or anything. They feel substantial in the hand, not heavy, not light, but high quality. I like the grip on the stem portion, it’s not smooth like the AirPods so I don’t worry about dropping these. In the ear, they’re hardly noticeable. It’s odd in a good way, it’s like I can barely feel them in my ear. The first few times wearing them I kept checking to make sure they’re still there and they were. They haven’t fell out of ears yet, and I’ve been using them a few days. I did It yard work all day today and had 0 issues and still had battery life left. I also like the black color more than the white of my AirPods. Sound quality was fantastic of course! Plenty loud and crystal clear. I like the touch control feature and was pleasantly surprised when I found out how easy and intuitive it was to use.

I bought these for my wife for Christmas. She says they work great. She's called me a few times while using the headphones and I can hear her clearly and she claims she can hear me loud & clear, so loud in fact she says she has to turn down the volume. 10/10 would recommend.
