The Marshall - MONITOR II A.N.C. Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-the-Ear Headphones are excellent. Phone calls come through very clearly, music sound quality is great, and the headphones themselves are very comfortable. I was using the Plantronics headphones, but will NOT go back to those. The Marshall headphones are superior in all respects.

The Marshall Monitor II headphones are a solidly built set of cans with Active Noise Cancelling and a few steam-punk styling choices (curled cords, a rippled metal finish and a gold joy-stick style control button) that will draw attention to the wearer. The headphones have satisfying heft and feel quite sturdy. The sound quality is very good and they are comfortable to wear. The ANC is good but not great. I have two other brands of over-the-ear noise cancelling headsets that do a slightly better job but not enough of a difference to be THE deciding factor in your choice. There is another factor though that is extremely annoying. These headphones appear to be very cranky about Bluetooth pairing. They simply refused to pair with either of our cellphones (different brands and manufacturers) but paired immediately with my laptop. That is the saving grace for me as my intent was to find a good pair of over-the-ears to use with my laptop when I travel. These work great with Windows Sonic, Dolby for headphones and DTS Headphone:X so they are a keeper for me. I encourage you to consider these headphones but keep your receipt just in case you can't get them to work with your phone!

— Construction — Phenomenal build quality - everything about the construction is top-notch. The top most portion that touches the top of your head is heavily padded with a soft material. A similar (if not the same) material is used for the ear cups which again are very comfortable. They come with a decently long USB-C charging cable, a very lengthy 3.5mm audio cable, and a very nice quality carrying pouch. — Controls — Controls are well though out. There is an ANC button on the left earpiece that toggles between ANC On, pass-through, or off modes, and then on the right earpiece there is an “M-button” which toggles between different equalizer settings. Additionally, and this is probably one of my favorite features of these headphones, there is a gold button that powers the headphones on or off, but you can also control the volume by toggling the button in an upwards or downwards direction, and then you can go forward or previous on tracks. It’s a really well thought out interface. — Sound — When I first put them on and started listening to some tracks, I was blown away at the clarity - extremely crisp and clear. However, I tend to prefer a bit more on the low end so I went into the app, which is a nicely designed app, to adjust the EQ but it left a bit to be desired. It’s kind of strange - but I feel like increasing the low end doesn’t necessarily increase the bass - it’s more that it just decreases the high end. Don’t expect a low-end punch from these headphones - you may be disappointed. That said, the clarity and resolution is exceptional. Crystal clear across the entire range and you can crank these things without experiencing any distortion. — ANC — Other than the sound clarity, the other highlight of these headphones is the Active Noise Cancelling - which is second to none. Incredibly good. They did an exceptional job at neutralizing outside noises and these should definitely be considered as some very good ANC headphones.

Overall, I consider these headphones phenomenal. Noise-canceling is something that I've never had before. I've dropped weights on the floor and had my children scream, and guess what, I can't hear them. It's great. I can't say enough great things about headphones. The equalizer feature on the app is a wonderful thing. It's great to change so it can change to what I want to hear, such as audiobooks versus music.

Thoroughly satisfied with these headphones. On the same level with the top of the line Bose or Sony.
