i had originally bought the 500....i loved the sound...it had issues...either a component problem or engineering flaw...returned it and got the new 400D....its perfect...it keeps getting better the longer i have it...deep bass, not muddy or distorted...its getting to the point where its overpowering these old pioneer speakers ive had for quite some time...perhaps there is a better sub for the price but not for me...actually i think my main room is probably too small for it...but i'm completely satisfied with the 400D... get it while you can

Great Sound. For a small package it really gives nice base response that is easy on your ears. Note that I use a Pioneer receiver with a separate subwoofer output paired with Bose Accustamass 10 speakers that never had very deep base and this little gem makes all the difference.

Good speaker! Not quite as compact as expected but strong sound. Also quite heavy.

I can't speak to having this as a HT sub. But for a 2 channel stereo set up its amazing! Blends with the audio so nicely! I would highly recommend at this price point without a doubt

Very skeptical of an 8 performing for what I want but... this little thing gets down! Not heavy bass but hits the notes very well! Sharp quality is best described. Id buy this again, in fact I plan on a second just for fulfillment wanted.

Excellent subwoofer for a small room. Works well for music and theater. I would recommend going to a larger model for a large room. Set up was easy.

The bass on this just amplified my space. I have a home theater and i place the sub behind the searing area and the effect it provides is just amazing.

I love this subwoofer. It is just the right size for my room and the bass is impressive.

Had a little trouble with the setup phase but once done everything sound great. Watching a movies is like being part of the experience. Talk about a theatre experience! Great sounding sub-woofer! No distortion at high levels (yet hehe). A very welcomed addition to my sound system.

As part of the HomeTheater system, we ordered the ML Dynamo 400 SWs. They produce very nice base to complete the awesome home theater experience.

My receiver broke, so I used one of my other receivers that was 5.2 and I needed another subwoofer. This one was on sale, but it does not disappoint. Sound when watching movies is great

Needed a Sub for smaller book shelf speakers in my home office. Compared this to the 8” subs from B&W and Def Tech and the Martin Logan hit significantly deeper despite only being rated 75W. I found it to be crisper and more musical. The lower price was an added bonus! If this is in your targeted budget range, but not on your shopping list, I strongly recommend you audition this.

Excellent sub. I already had 2 of the next larger model for a couple years now. I decided to add bookshelf size speakers to my new TV in a different room. This Martin Logan sub was the perfect choice. Capable of producing more bottom end to the sound than I need. Much better setup than using sound bars. You will never regret a Martin Logan speaker purchase.

I picked this up to replace the sub in my Martin Logan surround system. The amp overheated in the original sub. This is so much tighter and sweeter sounding.

This subwoofer is amazing! I listened to it in the store but it is so much better at home. It gives me a theater experience that’s unreal. The sound effects gives me the boom that I was looking for. The booming sounds keeps me on my toes. I have to stop to confirm all of the doors are locked to make sure no one is knocking them down. Hee hee! The sleek design is also hot and modern. I love it!
