A Solid Entry in the ME Universe

Mass Effect: Andromeda has its issues (facial animations, occasional game freezes, texture pop-ins, and a somewhat forgettable story), but for all the grief that this game receives, if you actually play the game, you will realize that relative to most games on the market, it is a solid experience. The combat mechanics are the best in the series, and this entry also offers the most Mass Effect planet exploration to date. It certainly does not wow you like previous ME games, but it will entertain you enough to justify your time spent exploring the galaxy.

This is not as great as the original Mass Effect, but it is a good game with tight action and a decent story.

If you've played the previous versions of mass effect than you've grown accustomed to an elaborate story involving hours of ever changing game play. Fortunately this has hours of game play but unfortunately it's not really changing. You have several locations that you get to spend hours exploring and completing missions, however once you have completed one location the others feel very similar with just different scenery. Overall still a fun experience if you like this style of game, but don't be surprised if you get bored and don't complete it.

As a huge fan of the Mass Effect series and universe, I was awaiting this title eagerly and picked it up on release date. Best Buy was a great choice as I got a pretty cool steel book for pre-ordering. The game itself is great and I'm sure I will get a lot of joy out of it, although it's not quite as good as I had hoped. I think the previous trilogy will be regarded as a superior product by most but this game still has plenty of story and exploration to behold. Multiplayer is different but still fun and I'll be playing that with my friends for months.

When comparing Andromeda side by side to the original ME titles this game does not stack up. Dialog seems strange at time, the story seems to skip beats (Why is no one in aw at how far they have just traveled across the universe?), and character animations seems flawed. If you can get passed these setbacks, the game can be lots of fun. Scenery graphics are amazing, combat is incredibly fun, the Multiplayer is ridiculously addicting, and it is a fun universe to explore. Go into the game understanding the flaws and there is a lot to love here.

It's Mass effect for $15. The original trilogy was good if you were patient enough. Slight better graphics and different story line.

I am about 5 hours into the game so far and it looks and plays amazing. I've played the original trilogy and this expands on the combat and progression system in every way possible. Kudos to Bioware for not reinventing the wheel, but perfecting it.

The game will not disappoint. The best Mass Effect yet. I would say it's even better than the Fallout series.

If you have ever played any of the Mass Effect games before, you will not want to miss this new game. It's more of the same Mass Effect but in a new environment and new characters. The missions are longer and the explorable planets are now open to explore freely. The new build items system is much more complex than before as there are many more different elements to be mined or gathered. I'm not that far into the game yet but from what I have played so far, I'm going to be spending a lot more time with this game.

If you enjoyed the original mass effect games you will be right at home here. The story and gameplay have been fantastic but best of all there is a ton to do off the beaten path. Lots to explore, unlock, upgrade, and craft. Can be a little overwhelming at first but you will always have something to do.

It's hard for this game to escape from the shadow cast by the original Mass Effect Trilogy which is of such high quality. As it stands, Andromeda is a good game with excellent combat controls and provides a sense a wonder as you explore uncharted planets. Most of the companions are interesting but the main villain is a bit dull and isn't prominently featured. The multiplayer provides quality Horde-mode style action where you team up with 3 other players to take on waves of increasingly difficult enemies.

The game starts out a bit slower then previous entries, the graphics leave a little to be desired as I feel they could have been done on the previous console generation however if you stick with it the story does pick up as well as the action. It is a good game and If you never played a mass effect before you will probably really enjoy it. Long time fans however will most likely be left feeling underwhelmed.

I love this game. I am a big fan of the original trilogy. this game is proof that they can do another successful trilogy. I have put over 60 plus hours into this game and still have plenty of percentage to go! Totally worth it and you don't have to play the original games to play this one!

While some of the Mass Effect experience remains, there's a lot that has been changed or added that doesn't really work. The enemies are fast and feisty, the crafting system is deep and intricate, yet it still doesn't really grab me. Add tiny tiny tiny text and vehicle controls that aren't intuitive and puzzles (think "Dragon Age" style puzzle solving) and this is a game that falls short of the franchise legacy. I WANT to like this game more than I actually do. I'm at the point where I'm debating whether or not I care enough about it to actually play the campaign through to the end.

I exceeded my expectations. So far I have been in the game for more than 70 hours looking to complete secondary missions which many are very interesting and enjoyable. As a fan of Mass Effect I enjoy it at all times and I understand it is a great start to a new story with the Ryder.

This is a well done open world game returning players to the Mass Effect universe. It takes place with different characters and locations than the first three games, but still feels very much like a Mass Effect game. I haven't experienced any of the glitches some complained about. My biggest complaint is that this series has moved away from some of the core RPG elements and the games have turned more into third person action games. Overall, this is a good game though.
